Interesting facts about the new album:
- this is Simple Plan’s 4th studio album
- Simple Plan want to get back to the roots in the album, so the sound of it should remind us of the old-school times of the first album with elements from the second one
- Simple Plan co-wrote songs with: Jim Irvin, Michael Warren, Julian Emery, David Hodges, Rivers Cuomo, Claude Kelly, David Hodges…
- the album should be mostly consisted of funny songs
- the album features 5 collaborations: Rivers Cuomo (Can’t Keep My Hands Off You), Natasha Bedingfield and Marie-Mai (Jet Lag), Alex Gaskarth (Freaking Me Out) and K’Naan (Summer Paradise)
- the song Jet Lag should appear on the album in two languages: one version will be in English and the second one in French; also the song should be including two female features
- the song This Song Saved My Life was written about Simple Plan’s fans – the guys were inspired by many letters from fans, where the fans tell SP how much Simple Plan’s music has helped them in tough times – and also, some fans were lucky enough to go to the studio to record group vocals on this particular song
- the song that the guys have been working on with Weezer’s lead singer – Rivers Cuomo – Chuck descirbed as “funny, happy and rock” / update: the song is called: “Can’t Keep My Hands Off You”
- one of the songs, that the guys wrote is about the feeling when you don’t want to go to school or work
- another song should be about feeling like nobody understands you
- the special editions of the album in French-speaking territories (and in Japan) will be including also a 12th track: Jet Lag (feat. Marie-Mai). The Japanese version will also include a yet-unknown 13th track.
- Simple Plan wrote for this record the most songs they have ever written for one album – about 50-60!

The first song that the fans could hear was “You Suck At Love”, which Simple Plan performed for the first time in Cleveland, USA during the Bamboozle Roadshow tour:

During the recording process a demo version of one of the 60 songs that Simple Plan wrote for this album, called “Famous For Nothing” leaked on the internet. Although it has been confirmed that this song will not be included on the final version of the record:

Another song, that’s demo version leaked online was the song “Just Around The Corner”, which was also written during the writing process, but didn’t make it to the album (the link to the song will not be provided in order to respect the band’s wishes).

In February 2011 Simple Plan released a 30-seconds-long preview of the studio version of You Suck At Love:

In March 2011 Simple Plan officially release the first full track off their new album: the song is called Can’t Keep My Hands Off You, but will not be the first single – still Simple Plan released an official music video for this song, thematically relating to the Disney movie Prom, which will be featuring the song on its soundtrack:

The first single off the new record will be for the song Jet Lag, which will be released in two versions: in English (feat. Natasha Bedingfield) and in French (feat. Marie-Mai).

Astronaut has become the second single off the new record. The music video for the song came out on September 19th 2011 and was directed by Mark Staubach:
