The guys spoke about the new album cover, the upcoming Jet Lag video that premieres today (it will really be only the English version – the French one with Marie-Mai will be released a little bit later on), the upcoming show in NYC on June 21st, about the collaborations (e.g. K’Naan’s colab with SP on Summer Paradise promises a very islandy vibe) and also Loser Of The Year has been defined as: “A song about how no matter what you have, if you’re not with people you love, you’re just a loser of the year.”
The new surprise on SimplePlan.com includes a video, in which the guys from Simple Plan finally revealed all their (so far so “top secret”) collaborations/featurings – which will appear on the album. As you already know, Get Your Heart On will be including 11 songs. Out of these 11, 4 of them will be featuring 5 external singers.
So far, the officially confirmed featurings were Rivers Cuomo (from the band Weezer) on Can’t Keep My Hands Off You, and next Natasha Bedingfield and Marie-Mai on the song Jet Lag.
About now about the two remaining collaborations: first, it has finally been confirmed what Alex Gaskarth (from the band All Time Low) mentioned in one interview – that just like Simple Plan contributed to the new All Time Low record, Alex also offered something for the new SP album. Namely – his vocals, for the song Freaking Me Out.
The last collaboration is definitely a big surprise: song no.8, Summer Paradise, will be featuring the Canadian singer/rapper K’Naan, who we’ve mentioned in the news before: he is the writer/singer of the song Wavin’ Flag, which the charitable group Young Artists For Haiti (and Pierre Bouvier being a part of it) covered last year in order to support the victims of the natural catastrophes on Haiti.
Another surprise has been unveiled on SimplePlan.com today: the tracklisting for the new Simple Plan album “Get Your Heart On” (yes, trying to figure out the time zones is making us crazy)! You can look forward to these songs in this particular order:
1. You Suck At Love
2. Can’t Keep My Hands Off You (feat. Rivers Cuomo)
3. Jet Lag (feat. Natasha Bedingfield)
4. Astronaut
5. Loser Of The Year
6. Anywhere Else But Here
7. Freaking Me Out
8. Summer Paradise
9. Gone Too Soon
10. Last One Standing
11. This Song Saved My Life
Of course it’s possible that some more songs will be unveiled as bonus tracks on special editions of the album – or some acoustic versions – for example the French version of Jet Lag feat. Marie-Mai hasn’t even been mentioned in the tracklisting, so we can definitely look forward to some more songs.
How do you like the new song-titles on Get Your Heart On?

Simple Plan’s new album will be called: Get Your Heart On
Are you also tired of keeping calling for the past two years the Simple Plan album that is about to drop on June 21st the “new” one, “upcoming” one, “forthcoming” one, “next” one or “fourth” one. Well now you don’t have to anymore cause even though it still doesn’t have a face, it has a name now: GET YOUR HEART ON.
Yes, it wouldn’t be Simple Plan if (not counting the self-titiled record) they didn’t try to put some mildly sexual context to their album title – just look at their previous ones: “No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls” and “Still Not Getting Any…”. You still don’t see it in “Get Your Heart On”? Okay, try stop looking at the title: just say it aloud…. Huh? Still nothing? Well then try again in a few years :)
The album title has been revealed in a vlog in today’s surprise on the Jet Lag Airlines. So hop on a plane, fasten your seatbelts and enjoy today’s ride to Rio. OMG LOL

Round the world trip with Simple Plan and Jet Lag Airlines
If you’ve been a Simple Plan fan for at least three years, you may remember the famous “SP wheel” which brought us daily new SP surprises two months before the self-titled record was released. And because the next Simple Plan record, the 4th one, is already less than 2 months away, Simple Plan came up with a whole new concept to keep the fans stoked for the new album.
The official website SimplePlan.com now (apart from weekends) offers daily flights with Oceanic AirlinesJet Lag Airlines, which will lead you to specific destinations, where you will be able to find new surprises (just press the yellow city name or the yellow plane and then on “click here to board flight”). For this day it’s the official lyrics to the French version of Jet Lag!
One of the biggest advantages of this way of transportation is that there is no way you can be jet lagged. :)
Jet Lag (feat. Marie-Mai)
Quelle heure est-il ou tu es?
Un autre avion et tu repars
Je me sens si loin si tu savais
J’attends ton retour encore
C’est comme si on vivait a l’envers
J’aimerais te dire qu’on pourra si faire
But trying to figure the time zones makin me crazy
You say good morning when it’s midnight
Going out of my head alone in this bed
Quand je m’endors tu te reveilles
Et je compte les heures j’en perds le sommeil
and my heart heart heart is so jet lagged
heart heart heart is so jet lagged
heart heart heart is so jet lagged
so jet lagged
Je te cherches quand tu n’es pas la
Dans une semaine je reviendrai
Je perds mon souffle quand tu t’en vas
Je m’imagine a tes cotes
Meme si j’essaie de l’ignorer
Tu es toujours la dans mes pensees
Trying to figure out the time zone’s makin me crazy
Je suis perdu sans toi
je t’attends encore
Je suis perdu sans toi
mais rentre il est tard
Je suis perdu sans toi
Et je veux vivre ton aurore
Je suis perdu sans toi
Et qu’on s’en sorte plus fort
And turn the hour hand back to when you were holding me
In the upcoming weeks, thanks to this interactive round the world trip we should be getting tons of interesting stuff regarding to the new record: such as the tracklisting, and hopefully also the album title!
