The Simple Plan machine is really going on full speed: Chuck has just announced on Twitter that the band is just about to shoot the photoshoot for the album cover. And not only that, but it seems like we can also be expecting not just one, but two Simple Plan music videos. Now the only remaining question is – what will be the first single?

It seems like things around Simple Plan are going to be getting pretty heavy in the next few weeks. According to Jeff’s latest tweet, the band is already gearing up to shoot the first music video for the first single off the upcoming fourth album. The band has not released any official statement about which song they’ve chosen for the 1st single.

New interview with Jeff Stinco
13th March 2011 // Permalink // No Comments

Source: SPB.com

My colleague Bruno from Simple Plan Brazil had the opportunity to interview Jeff and thanks to him we’ve got some new cool info about Simple Plan!

- before the album’s release date (June 21st) we should hear at least two Simple Plan songs we’ve never heard before
- the first single should be out within a month
- the boys would like to return to Brazil two times during this record cycle – for the first time in fall (-> that would mean the other possible tours, like the Europen could be in winter or spring)
- the guys are thinking about doing a live DVD documenting their tours in Brazil
- the new album should include 4 or 5 collaborations, maybe even with a woman

You can check out the whole SPB interview below:

(Update: March 14th – 2nd part of the interview has been added)

Daniel Fernandes from Arujá asked: What is your best memory from Brazil?

Best memory… there have been a lot. I mean, the last tour was definitely a highlight, we had such a great time, going to new places was great: Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Recife… We had a fantastic show in Sao Paulo… We had some fun nights out too, like amazing nights out, so we kept great memories of that trip! You know, on past records, we’ve kept Brazil for the end of our touring cycles, which is not the best for you guys… But we always kept it for the end because it’s so much fun for us. It’s like being on a holiday with great live shows thrown in as a bonus. It ends a record cycle on a great note. Because of that on this record, we’re hoping to come to Brazil twice.

Surprise revealed: snippet of the studio version of YS@L
12th February 2011 // Permalink // No Comments

Here we go ladies and gentlemen!

After many years of waiting, the first snippet of the studio version of one of the songs from the upcoming 4th Simple Plan record is finally here: You Suck At Love (YS@L). Below you can check out the 27 seconds-long preview and also read about what the guys had to say about this song on their official website:

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, all we’re gonna hear about is LOVE and how fantastic it is. That’s great and if you have someone amazing to share this occasion with, we’re really happy for you and wish you all the best this Monday!

But for all the fans who are bummed to be single, just got dumped or got cheated on and are going through a tough time this Valentine’s Day, we decided that we had to do our share to help you get your groove back a little. We created e-cards that will help you get a little revenge on that ex that messed you up! So pick the one you like at simpleplan.com and send it to that evil ex-gf or bf, wear the shirt and let the world know what you think about them, send a link to a friend who just got their heart broken and cheer them up or just enjoy knowing that you’re not the only one that thinks that some people can really “suck at love” sometimes!

And maybe more importantly, enjoy the 1st official snippet of music from SP’s new album! That’s right, after more than a year of writing, recording and mixing, this is your 1st chance to hear a bit of the new record. Head over to simpleplan.com now to hear a piece of “You Suck at Love”. I know it’s a little short but don’t worry, we’ve got tons of updates to come so keep checking www.simpleplan.com as well as www.officialspcrew.com for all the news on the new music: album title, release date, 1st single, tour dates….IT’S ALL COMING SOON!

Thanks for your patience!

Barnik working on the new version of SimplePlan.com
4th February 2011 // Permalink // No Comments

It seems like the closer we get to the release date, the less news about the new album we get – but anyway, things are starting to change now. Even though there are no news about the album itself, there are some major changes coming up!

Fred Jerome, a.k.a. Barnik, old friend of the guys from Simple Plan, who is also their graphic designer, announced on Twitter today that he has already started working on the new design of the official Simple Plan websiteSimplePlan.com. Hopefully we’ll be able to check out his graphic skills in the next few months.

And who knows? Perhaps we may even expect some amazing surprises, like when the last Simple Plan album was about to come out and everybody was excited about the so-called “SP wheel”. Remember? :)

Simple Plan to sing in French on the new album
5th January 2011 // Permalink // 9 Comments

We all know verz well that even though English is not the mothertoungue of the members of Simple Plan, it fits much more to the pop-rock style of the band. That’s why Simple Plan sing all of their songs in English. Well… until now. According to MusiquePlus, Patrick Langlois, a long-time friend of Simple Plan and today a videoreporter for MusiquePlus came with a very interesting scoop right from the main source: the new Simple Plan album, which is due this spring, will feature a song in French!

But if you can’t speak French, don’t worry! You will not miss the English version either! The guys wrote the original song, just like the other songs, in English, but in order to spice up the album a little bit, they’ve decided to record it in their first language as well. That’s why we will hear this yet unknown song on the album twice: in English AND in French. Chuck officially confirmed this scoop on his Twitter.

So, what do you say? How is it gonna be for you to sing along in French? Or shall I ask.. how is it gonna be listening to French?

I guess it’s time to dust off the old French dictionaries and start learning fast, cause the release date of the new SP album is (pardon me) Just Around The Corner!
