For the first time in their career Simple Plan performed in St Petersburg, Russia, yesterday, where thousands of fans welcomed them in a local theatre. During the show (just like in Moscow), the fans surprised the band with hundreds of little small airplanes (symbolizing Jet Lag).

Simple Plan also did a little rendition of the traditional “Happy Birthday” after finding out it was one of their fans’ birthday, which just in a couple of seconds turned into “We Will Rock You”. You can check out both these awesome moments from St Petersburg on the videos below:

The guys from Simple Plan have yet again landed in Europe a couple days ago, where they just kicked off the second leg of their European tour, during which they will be visiting Russia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium, France and the United Kingdom.

Today, for the second time in their carreer, the guys appeared in Moscow, where they played only in 2009, and according to both the band and the fans, delivered another fantastic show.

The local fans have also prepared a little surprise for the band – when paper planes started flying in the air during Jet Lag. According to the fans in St. Petersburg, they had the same idea prepared for Simple Plan for tomorrow. Right now you can check out the paper planes in Moscow (make sure to turn the sound off though) :

This year Italy is probably winning in the non-existant competition in the number of radio stations that got to interview Simple Plan. Yes, here is a few more pictures and a video from Simple Plan’s visit of yet another italian radio station – this time around the Kiss Kiss radio in Milan. Make sure to watch the video as well – you may find out who the “black sheep” of the band is… try guessing first though :)

Last year, I’ve informed you about the event that Jeff attended as a speaker on October 16th. The “Recognition Ceremony”, organised by a nonprofit Canadian foundation called Portage, servers to honour those, who have successfully overcome their drug addiction. At this year’s Recognition Ceremony, Portage was honouring 230 people.

Jeff Stinco was invited there as a speaker and a representative of the Simple Plan Foundation. According to the Portage’s website, Jeff expressed his admiration for the graduates’ journey and for the work being done by the staff at Portage. He stated that the members of his band, Simple Plan, are committed to a healthy lifestyle, and that they strive to be role models for all the adolescents they encounter around the world.

“I am proud to be here today, representing the Simple Plan Foundation, an enthusiastic supporter of Portage, more specifically its MICA rehabilitation program for people with mental illness.”

Earlier today, Chuck and Jeff, headed back to Radio Canada (just like yesterday) to give another interview there Рthis time with Mr. Ren̩ Homier-Roy. The guys talked mostly about their work with the Simple Plan Foundation (which by the way finally has its own section here on SimplePlan.cz) and also mentioned the upcoming photobook and the DVD.
