Interview with Sebastien from a charitable triathlon
7th April 2012 // Permalink // No Comments

Two months ago, In February 2012, Sebastien (as a representative of the Simple Plan Foundation) attended a charitable triathlon that took place in the center of Montreal, to support the Sainte-Justine hospital. You can remind yourself of more infor about this event from the SP.cz post from February.

Now, here one new picture of Sebastien from this event and also an interview that was done by the host of the event – actress Julie Du Page. Thanks to Helene (who kindly translated the interview into English for us) you can now read the interview here (or watch the video below – at mark 1:37):

Julie: Sebastien from Simple Plan for the St Justine Foundation! What are you doing here?
Sebastien: Friends of mine are organizing this event and with the Simple Plan Foundation we’ve been working with them for a long time. We try to help them the best we can. So coming here to represent our foundation and encourage the people who give time and money for an event like this is the least we can do.

Julie: So, it’s not the first time you are attending it?
Sebastien: No, I’ve come here for 4 – 5 years. I’m always in town when the event takes place so it’s always a pleasure to take part in it.

Yesterday, in Munich, Simple Plan wrapped up the German leg of their European Get Your Heart On! tour and since then have already left for Vienna, Austria, where they are having a day off today. And to thank the German fans for visiting their shows (most of them sold-out) they made the following video that probably doesn’t even require such a long introduction. Just do yourself a favour and watch it :)

Chuck about Simple Plan’s plans for 2012 and looking back at No Pads times
23rd March 2012 // Permalink // No Comments

The 10th anniversary of Simple Plan’s first album “No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls” is a great oportunity to look back at how the band has started, what were their goals back then and what their goals are now and what their plans are for the future.

Exactly these and more questions were used by Jon Ableson from the music website Alter The Press in his new interview with Chuck (and towards the end also with Sebastien) which came out to be one of the most interesting pieces of interviewing work we’ve seen in a long time, when it comes to Simple Plan.

One of the most interesting things we’ve found out thanks to this interview is that this year, to commemorate the 10th anniversary, Simple Plan would like to release not only the forementioned EP with unreleased tracks and a DVD, but also the promised photobook that Chuck talks a bit more in this interview, saying for example that its final version should have around 250 pages and should capture the life on road, backstage and much more.

You can check out the interview by reading on:
