Even though you could not attend Simple Plan Foundation’s benefit event, now thanks to Anika you can check out at least a part of the acoustic Simple Plan show. Particularly the songs Take My Hand and Welcome To My Life:

The event we’ve all been looking for so much, this year’s Simple Plan Foundation benefit event ended just few moments ago and here is already the your first update. During the press conference, that took place in the morning, Simple Plan announced that this year they are donating $185 000 to local, national and international charitable organizations!

During this event, Simple Plan also mingled into the crowd and met all the fans that came to support Simple Plan and also to listen to the new material for album #4! The fans were asked not to record any of the songs in order to prevent them from being leaked before the album is released. Anyhow, rumour has it that the new Simple Plan songs are amazing!

After playing the samples from the upcoming record, Simple Plan performed an acoustic concert, which consisted of these tracks:

And what more, during today’s benefit event, Simple Plan Foundation raised another $125 000! Congratulations!

In only few days, on November 16th 2010, the former high school of four out of five Simple Plan members, the Beaubois college in Montreal, organises a performance of twelve Beaubois college graduates, who have since become known personalities – and Simple Plan cannot be left out! Apart from David, all the SP members have graduated on Beaubois college: Jeff Stinco in 1995, Chuck and Pierre in 1996 and Seb in 1998.

The money raised from the tickets (which are available for $120) will profit the Simple Plan Foundation and Fondation du coll̬ge Beaubois. Also, the ticket-holders will get the chance to meet all the artists, including Simple Plan and attend the signing session and take pictures with the band members. And what more Рrumour has it Simple Plan may perform some of the new songs off their upcoming record!

As you already know from one of our latest posts – Simple Plan are organising their third annual benefit event for the Simple Plan Foundation – “Taste Of Montreal” – which will take place on November 14th 2010.

Thanks to Twitter we now also know that the event will be hosted by canadian radio and TV host Eric Salvail, who has been awarded for his hosting skills many times in the past.

Except the lunch and Simple Plan’s performace, another part of the event will also be a silent auction – we can assume that as always, most of the items will be Simple Plan related – but apart of those, there is another item that’s been confirmed for the auction:

The band Hedley, who’s members are friends with Simple Plan (having toured with them in the past and also met at the closing ceremonies during this year’s Olympic games), offered a signed guitar to the Simple Plan Foundation auction. Chuck confirmed it on Twitter yesterday:

Chuck let us know via his recent tweet, that he has received a guitar signed by Gene Simmons (bassplayer of the band KISS) in Gene’s house for Simple Plan Foundation’s auction!

Seems like this year’s Simple Plan Foundation event is gonna be epic!

For the third year already, the Simple Plan Foundation is organising their annual benefit event (you may remember the SPF brunch from 2008 and the SPF show from 2009) – this year it’s a benefit lunch called “Taste Of Montreal”, which will be preceded by official announcements of the new foundation’s donations for 2010-2011.

A part of the benefit, which will take place on November 14th 2010 at noon, will also be meeting the band Simple Plan, an acoustic SP concert, auction and most importantly an exclusive preview of the upcoming Simple Plan album!

So if you’ll be hanging around Montreal, Canada at that time and would like to attend this event, you can order your ticket for $100 on Simple Plan Foundation‘s website.
