Idobi radio co-owners include Chuck, Sebastien and Joel Madden!

You may recall an article I wrote in July 2014 after the Alternative Press Music Awards, in which we learned that Chuck Comeau was in fact 1/5 of the co-owners of idobi radio along with Eddie Barella and Tom Cheney, who all apppeared at the red carpet together. The remaining two fifths of co-owners have never been named before.

Finally today, thanks to an article from Technical.ly, Chuck decided to shed some light on idobi’s ownership and his involvement in it. According to the article, idobi incorporated in 2012 and idobi’s founder Tom Cheney and Eddie Barella (radio host, program director) welcomed Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden and Simple Plan’s Chuck Comeau and also Sebastien Lefebvre as co-owners.

“As a hobby we helped them launch their careers,” said Cheney. It was “life coming full circle.”

Chuck also commented on this article via Twitter:

“Proud of idobi radio and working with my good friends Tom Cheney, Sebastien Lefebvre and Joel Madden on bringing you great music.”

Idobi Radio (stylized as “idobi radio”) is an Internet radio station that focuses mostly on pop-punk, alternative and power-pop music that was founded in 1999 by Tom Cheney. Simple Plan fans may know this radio station for many past interviews with the members of the band and mostly for the radio show Man Of The Hour (co-hosted by Simple Plan’s Sebastien Lefebvre and former merch guy/webmaster/photographer Patrick Langlois), which idobi has been airing since 2006.
