About a year ago, the lead singer of the Canadian band Marianas Trench, Josh Ramsay, was asked by Simple Plan’s drummer Chuck Comeau to donate a signed guitar for the Simple Plan Foundation, which would mostly probably be later used as one of the items auctioned off at the annual Simple Plan Foundation benefit event. However, Josh being Josh – he forgot to eventually send Simple Plan the signed guitar, so a year later, still having it lying around, he decided to just give it away to one of their fans – whoever would find him first. At least it ended up it the right – fan’s – hands :)
