Simple Plan still plan to go ahead with summer U.S. tour

With the current state of the world in mind, many are wondering whether the events planned for the summer are still a go, or whether they can expect their cancelation just like of those events that have already been canceled for the upcoming few weeks, because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Simple Plan decided to post an update on their upcoming plans, in which they offered their well wishes to everyone affected by this virus worldwide. As of right now, the band plans to go ahead with their recently announced U.S. tour with New Found Glory.

Read their whole statement below:

Wow… that was a CRAZY WEEK!!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

We’re thinking of all of you and hoping everyone is staying safe amidst all the chaos and insanity happening right now. Please take care of yourself and everyone around you. We will get through this!

With so many cancelled shows all over the world, we see a lot of questions popping up from you regarding our upcoming concerts.

As of now, all spring / summer shows of the “Pop-Punk’s Still Not Dead” tour with New Found Glory and Knuckle Puck, as well as our Canadian festival shows this summer, are moving forward as planned. Obviously, this is a truly extraordinary and very fluid situation so if anything changes, we will let you know right away and provide all necessary information. But as of now, we remain very hopeful that all these shows will happen and we cannot wait to rock with you again!

Tickets for all shows are on sale now at simpleplan.com or at the link at our bio and they are selling fast! We also have 2 amazing VIP options available: the Very Important Pizza Party where you get to hang and take photos with us and New Found Glory and the Main Event where you come backstage right before our show and get to watch us play on stage! VIP spots are available at the same links.

We love you and hope to see you all very soon and be able to sing, jump and dance together and high-five each other!

Take care!”
