Simple Plan’s summer U.S. tour begins to sell out – band adds new dates in Orlando and Philadelphia!

Tickets for Simple Plan’s and New Found Glory’s co-headlining ‘Pop-Punk’s Still Not Dead’ tour have been on sale for a little over a month now and so far 7 dates are already sold-out: St Petersburg (FL), New York (NY), Boston (MA), Chicago (IL), Minneapolis (MN), Salt Lake City (UT) and Anaheim (CA). Out of these, only Anaheim received a second date, so you can still buy tickets for that one.

The tour is set to begin at the end of May 2020 and go through all of June – and according to Simple Plan’s latest statement released just yesterday, as of right now, they are still planning to go ahead with all the shows. What more – they decided to add two more dates – one in Orlando and one in Philadelphia. Given the current world situation with the pandemic coronavirus, we are of course living in fickle times and everything might change from one day to the next. Simple Plan are obviously following all the guidelines and recommendations and if anything were to change, they would keep us updated.

Read their whole statement about the addition of two new dates and their view on their upcoming touring plans below:

“Today, we are announcing 2 new shows on our “Pop Punk’s Still Not Dead” summer tour: Orlando and Philadelphia! Pre-sale tickets are available now and public on-sale is this Friday at simpleplan.com

Letting you know about these new shows this week has been planned for months and after careful consideration, we decided to stick to our initial announcement plans. With the extraordinary and unprecedented events happening right now, it feels a bit strange to be announcing new concerts, but we want to make sure our fans across the country have a chance to see this tour. We fully understand the gravity of the current situation and honestly don’t know what will happen in the next 10-11 weeks, but we remain hopeful that we will able to perform for you and that the tour will go on as planned.

If anything changes and the health authorities maintain their recommendations to avoid large gatherings of people into the months of May and June, you can count on us to obey all guidelines, reschedule these shows and never put your safety in jeopardy. We truly hope we won’t have to do this and that life will return to normal in time, but at this point, the truth is, we just don’t know.

In the meantime, please stay safe and take care of each other. We will get through this and can’t wait to hang out with all of you very soon!”
