Simple Plan tease two new tour announcements today and next week!

Finally things are starting to get moving around Simple Plan and fans can get excited about what’s to come! The band has hinted yesterday that they will in fact not be coming with just one announcement of new Simple Plan tourdates but with two! According to their Instagram post, fans can expect new tourdates to be announced today, March 23rd and a second batch of new tourdates is coming on Monday, March 26th.

“Get ready for more touring! We’ll be announcing new shows [today] and on monday! Can’t wait to share with you!

– Simple Plan –

And what exactly can we expect those dates to be? We already know that Simple Plan will be heading to Brazil this coming May – but the exact tourdates have not been confirmed yet. Therefore chances are Brazil will be amongst the two upcoming announcements. The band has also previously mentioned that the touring plans in 2018 should not only include Brazil but South America in general – that’s why we’re also expecting other countries to be on the list of announced tourdates – either later today or on Monday.

Interestingly enough, Vivo Ex El Rock, the Peruvian festival that has for the longest time been rumored as one of Simple Plan’s stops in South America, will be making its lineup announcement this Sunday, March 25th. Could that all be tied up to Simple Plan’s two tour announcements in the upcoming days? We shall see!

Keep checking back on SimplePlan.cz for both announcements.

Simple Plan tease big upcoming announcement

Today on their official Instagram profile (@simpleplan) in advance of their European tour, Simple Plan posted a message, claiming they have “another big announcement coming!”

Since the album’s out, new single and video have just been released, it’s very probable that this announcement will have something to do with the band’s plans for the second half of the year. That could possibly mean a tour across South America, which has been previously discussed to take place this fall, along with a tour across Canada and the U.S, possibly even Australia. However, for what lies behind the actual announcement, we’ll have to wait a little bit [notice the lack of ‘soon’].

In the meantime, check out the full version of this brand new photoshoot that the band accompanied this Instagram post with, which you can now find in the SimplePlan.cz gallery:

Huge Monday announcement: what we know so far

If you’ve been reading up on SimplePlan.cz on Friday, you’ve already noticed that Simple Plan are currently in the studio recording their final 4 songs for their new album this weekend, after which they are planning a huge announcement on Monday, November 30th (exact time is currently unknown).

In various interviews and elsewhere on social media, the members of the band have already hinted on what we may expect from this announcement, so it’s time to sum up what we know so far for sure and what else is speculated to also be a part of this announcement, so that we’re ready for what Monday is going to bring!

WHAT IS CONFIRMED TO BE ANNOUNCED ON MONDAY

ALBUM TITLE: At the press conference in Mexico, Simple Plan mentioned that in their Monday announcement they will finally let the fans in on the title of their new album

ALBUM RELEASE DATE: Even though it’s been known for a while that Simple Plan will release their fifth studio album in February 2016, the exact release date will finally be revealed on Monday

WHAT ELSE MAY BE ANNOUNCED

EUROPEAN TOURDATES: Simple Plan confirmed in an interview in Mexico that after their album’s release they first plan on touring in Europe – and from the already revealed first concert date in Italy, we already know it will be in March. And since there was another indication from a Swiss promoter of a Monday announcement of a SP show there as well, we may assume Simple Plan’s huge announcement may include more details regarding their next European tour.

NEW MUSIC VIDEO: The band has also recently revealed that we may expect yet another music video very soon. However whether they will include it in this particular huge announcement is unknown.

ALBUM ARTWORK: With the announcement of the album title and its release date, it would be understandable to assume that we could also finally get a glimpse at the album’s artwork. However this information has not been mentioned or confirmed by the band anywhere yet.

TRACKLIST: And finally, something a lot of fans are very eager to see – the number of songs, the song-titles and their exact order on the album. Now, this option is a little less probable to be announced in this big announcement as some of the songs are still being recorded and the band didn’t seem certain yet whether the album’s gonna have 14 or 15 songs on it, so the revelation of the tracklist is currently at the bottom of the announcement list. However, hope dies last.

Simple Plan to release album details + may announce European tour on Monday

Ever since Chuck’s confirmation on his Instagram earlier today that Simple Plan would be making a “huge announcement” this coming Monday, November 30th, the fans have been speculating about what could be behind it.

The obvious choices are of course the most awaited ones – that is the album title and its release date. Another option that we’ve also been previously suggested is the new music video the band mentioned, which should also be released soon.

Of course there is a big possibility it could be a mix of all or some of these things wrapped in one big announcement, but there is one more thing the band may be announcing on Monday, which seems to be more and more probable.

Thanks to Kelly and Raph we found out that the Swiss promoter Just Because just announced that they will also have some exciting announcement for the Swiss Simple Plan fans on Monday afternoon. It would be a very big coincidence if these two big announcements didn’t have something in common. And as we know, SP already previously mentioned, they wanted to return to Europe in January, which makes it all the more likely that a part of Simple Plan’s Monday announcement may include an announcement of their upcoming European tour.

Update: The Italian promoter Vivo Concerti seems to be hinting on an announcement of a Simple Plan show too.

Update 2: Jeff Stinco confirmed on Twitter that the band will reveal the details regarding the release of their new album next week!

So… are you excited for Monday? :)
