Simple Plan have just released another one of their vlogs from their current tour across Asia: particularly from their visit to China. To check out how Simple Plan lost their suitcase, how they were greeted by fans on the airport and how they met Kelly Cha for the first time, and all that from SP’s point of view, watch the vlog below:

And where are Simple Plan now? After a day in Hong Kong, where they played a show yesterday – and even gave a few interviews to the local media, from where we already have some cool pictures in the gallery, the boys headed to Philippines today. But before they left Hong Kong, a few fans showed up at the airport to say their goodbyes to the band, so here is a couple of pictures from today:

Simple Plan have performed both shows that they were scheduled to play at in China and either today or early tomorrow they are heading to Taiwan, where they’re playing tomorrow. Tha band spend three days in total in China. From the second day, when the guys were still in Beijing, I have one more picture for you from the interview the guy did with MTV China. After a long flight, all members of Simple Plan finally arrived to China yesterday, where they are kicking off their Asian tour with a concert in Beijing today. This tour is sort of a way to make it up to all the fans whose shows have been cancelled last summer because of Pierre’s medical condition. And even though their flight wasn’t as troubleless as they wished(the airlines managed to lose their baggage, and it looks like the only one whose suitcase didn’t get lost was Pierre, so Chuck naturally already managed to tell the world about whose underwear he is wearing today), the guys made is with a slight delay to their hotel at 9pm, where tons of Chinese fans greeted them with lots of cheer on their own welcome party, along with the singer Kelly Cha, who will be singing Jet Lag with Simple Plan later today.

During this party, Simple Plan were asked many questions, both from the fans and also from the reporters. And one of the most interesting information that the guys revelaed there is definitely the fact that the band wants to release their new DVD this year, as well as some sort of an EP, which the members described as “although not a complete album” but that the fans will love it just as much. Could this be a collection of unreleased tracks from the new album? What do you think?

In the past few weeks, it was here on SimplePlan.cz, where you were first to find out about the new concert dates in Asia, since the band had not confirmed them yet at that time. Today, Simple Plan have finally confirmed all the previously announced dates and also added one more show – in Beijing, China, which (so far) seems it will be the first date of the Asian tour 2012.

Simple Plan will be doing a huge tour across Asia at the beginning of 2012, where they will be visiting many countries and many cities all over the continent. The newly added shows to this tour, even though they have not been officially confirmed by the band yet (but they are confirmed by the promoters and some of them even already have official posters (e.g. here) are Shanghai, China and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Ministry of Culture in China has released a blacklist of 100 songs that are now banned from China because they “could cause damage to the cultural security of the country” due to their poor taste and vulgar content”. However, the selecting process of these 100 songs still remains a mystery as some of the songs (e.g. from The Backstreet Boys) are over 12 years old.

Among the musicians whose music has been banned in China, Lady Gaga is in the lead with 6 songs in total (The Edge of Glory, Hair, Marry the Night, Americano, Judas and Bloody Mary). Apart from her, the banned songs also include Britney Spears, Owl City, Katy Perry, Eminem, Christina Aguilera, Kylie Minogue and surprisingly even Simple Plan.

Four Simple Plan songs have been banned in China: all of them belonging to their latest record Get Your Heart On!: “You Suck At Love”, “Can’t Keep My Hands Off You”, “Freaking Me Out” and “Loser Of The Year”. According to the Ministry of Culture in China the songs are “too erotic and in bad taste”.

Simple Plan’s drummer , Chuck Comeau, commented on this matter via Twitter: “All i have to say is that I love going to China and i love our chinese fans! and that i feel pretty bad-ass being banned! Is it weird that i’m kinda stoked to be considered ”erotic”???”
