Simple Plan announce first headlining Harder Than It Looks tour for 2023: South East Asia!

Just a few days before Christmas, Simple Plan announced a very special holiday gift for their fans from South East Asia: the band will be heading there for their very first headlining tour with their brand new album “Harder Than It Looks”! So far since the album’s release, the band has only toured as a supporting act (with Sum 41 in Europe and the U.S. and with The Offspring in Canada).

The tour will be taking place from March 4th to March 12th and SP will visit Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. No opening act has been announced yet, but we’ll keep you posted.

Check out the full tour list below:

March 4th – Jakarta, Indonesia – Everblast Festival

March 5th – Surabaya, Indonesia – W Superclub

March 7th – Singapore, Singapore – The Coliseum @ RWS

March 8th – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Zepp

March 10th – Manila, Philippines – New Frontier Theatre

March 12th – Davao, Philippines – SMX Convention Centre

Simple Plan announced for more festivals in 2023 – plans include Europe, Asia and the U.S!

Hold on to your hats, Simple Plan fans! 2023 will be a big touring year for the band! Let’s have a recap of all we know so far and also reveal some of the new additions to the tour plan!

First of all, the band will be stopping by in Asia early next year – it has been announced that they will be part of the Everblast Festival line-up, which will take place from March 4th to 5th in Jakarta, Indonesia. Besides Simple Plan, fans will also get to see acts like Hoobastank or The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. You can check out more info about the festival here. Given how far Asia is, it is very likely that this won’t be SP’s only stop on the continent. We’ll keep you posted once we know more!

Now let’s move on to the summer – that part of the year will (at least partly) belong to Europe! After already announcing their appearance at the Nova Rock festival in Austria (June 7th 2023), Simple Plan have just been also added to the line-up of next year’s Download Festival in the UK (June 8th 2023) and they will also appear at the first ever Slam Dunk Festival in Italy (June 2nd 2023) and France (June 3rd 2023).

And so far, it looks like the end of the year will all about the U.S. again, since Simple Plan are scheduled for at least one show there so far – the When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas (October 21st 2023). Unfortunately, tickets to this festival are already sold-out.

Simple Plan to perform on X Factor Indonesia tomorrow!

It has just been announced that Simple Plan will perform as a surprise guest at the result’s show of X Factor Indonesia tomorrow, April 18th 2022. It is currently unknown whether the band will actually travel all the way to Indonesia or if this performance just will be broadcast from elsewhere. However since the band doesn’t currently have any other engagements in Asia, it is more than likely this will be a broadcast performance.

According to Simple Plan, the band should perform two songs in total: one old and one new. It should air at 6:10pm local time on RCTI.
