Sebastien’s and Patrick’s podcast Man Of The Hour is back with season 33 this week!

Last we heard from Sebastien Lefebvre and Patrick Langlois together was on the last episode of season 32 of their radio show Man Of The Hour back in July. In the last episode, the duo stated that they would be off for two weeks before returning for another season. Unfortunately (we’re guessing) due to the unprecedented situation with David, all members of Simple Plan have disappeared from social media since then and that also meant for Sebastien’s podcast to stay off the air for a while.

With the recent news of Simple Plan coming back online with their new set of regulations that they want to put in place from now on, we’re happy to announce that Man Of The Hour is also finally back this week! Idobi radio has announced so on their social media.

If you like to tune in live, you can listen to Idobi radio this Wednesday at 8pm EST. The show should then also be available as a podcast, usually about a day later.

Are you excited to see what Seb and Pat have been up to in the past three months? We know we are!

Chuck discusses dad life on The Rockstar Dad Show podcast with members of Bowling For Soup

Before they head out on a UK tour together next week, two members of Bowling For Soup – Jaret Reddick and Gary Wiseman – caught up recently over the phone with Simple Plan’s drummer Chuck Comeau, who joined them on their Idobi radio podcast ‘The Rockstar Dad Show’.

In the podcast, the guys often invite other “rockstars” who have become parents over the years, and who have some insights into what it’s like to be a parent while being in the music and touring business. In Chuck’s episode, the drummer discussed his relationship with his 4-year-old son London, his obsession with ice-hockey and also the fact that his parents are trying to make him trilingual from an early age – so that he now understands English, French and Spanish.

Check out this interesting interview with Chuck below – Chuck enters the show around mark 42:13:

Sebastien discusses the band’s plans for 2019 in the Dangerous Darrin Show podcast

This week, Sebastien Lefebvre, appeared on the Dangerous Darrin Show, the Idobi radio podcast of Darrin Pfeiffer from Goldfinger. The two musicians had lots to talk about not only because they’re both in music and they both have a podcast on Idobi radio, but also due to the fact that they’ve been acquainted for over 17 years now – ever since Goldfinger took Simple Plan out on one of their first tours after their debut album was released in 2002.

You can listen to the whole podcast here but if you don’t have the time and would just like to find out if perhaps Seb talked about anything regarding the upcoming album, the answer is yes, he did. Seb was very careful not to reveal much, but he painted the picture of what the band’s plans are for the rest of the year. Check out this part of the interview below:

What does 2019 have in store for the band? I mean, are you gonna release new music? Is there a tour going on? What’s the news with Simple Plan [in] 2019?

Seb: Well, there’s a lot of “plans” and we’ll see if they come true. We are writing, right now, for the next album. And you know that we do take our time, even though things are going great right now [with] writing; as soon as we have things that are kind of worth our band, listening to.. we’ll put them out and we’ll make sure we’ll hurry. And get in the studio and record the songs that we love as soon as we have them. That is the plan. Does that mean in a few months? Does that mean at the end of the year? Hard to say. We’d love to do a “Beyoncé” and just like “BAM! New album today!”, like, that’d be great, but that’s not gonna be today. But we do have a few shows announced and we got some festivals in Europe and we’re gonna have probably a sprinkle of shows throughout the rest of the year, just to keep us busy, because it’s all like, at some point, when you’re every single day at the studio, trying to come up with ideas, you kinda wanna get on stage. So, we’re gonna do that, but the main focus will be to write and make sure, and hopefully make sure… [that] hopefully soon [we’ll] have a new album ready for everyone.

Watch Patrick Langlois sing Summer Paradise with Sebastien on guitar live on radio

This morning on the show ‘On est tous debout’ on Montreal’s Rouge 107.3 radio was quite a funny one. Patrick Langlois, who is one of the hosts of this program, exchanged his usual spoken voice for a singing voice and alongside his Man Of The Hour co-host, Simple Plan’s Sebastien Lefebvre, performed Simple Plan’s 2012 hit single ‘Summer Paradise’.

For those of you who may be newer to Simple Plan and are wondering who Patrick is… Patrick Langlois is definitely not a singer. Until 2008, Pat used to be Simple Plan’s merch guy, photographer, videographer and tour manager back in the early days of the band and you can even find him in the background of many Simple Plan music videos from the early 2000s. But most of all, even after all these years he’s still one of the dearest friends of the guys in the band. He’s since moved on to do bigger things and is now a full time radio & sometimes also TV host and a pretty well-known personality in Montreal.

Let’s have a look at how well Patrick did with ‘Summer Paradise’ on the video below:
