YouTuber Elton Castee (TFIL) documents his on-stage moment with Simple Plan in a new vlog

Popular American YouTuber Elton Castee, who can pride himself on 1.8 million subscribers on his TFIL YouTube channel, recently published his long-awaited vlog from Warped Tour in Orlando, FL, where he got to perform with Simple Plan alongside Set It Off’s Cody Carson and Story Untold’s Janick Thibault during ‘I’m Just A Kid’ [we’ve already reported on these special on-stage appearances in this article].

In one of his latest vlogs that he released this week, Elton share the story of how he asked Simple Plan if he could be a part of their ‘I’m Just A Kid’ thing they have been doing throughout all of Warped Tour, where Chuck and Pierre switch their roles and while Chuck crowdsurfs in the crowd and Pierre drums, a number of their singer friends are invited on the stage to finish the song with a microphone in their hand.

What’s amazing is that the video Elton posted has already been viewed over 80 000 times in just 2 days since its original upload. Check it out for yourself to see Simple Plan’s special I’m Just A Kid moment from a little different point of view:

Janick Thibault, Cody Carson & Elton Castee joined Simple Plan for I’m Just A Kid in Orlando

On the second-to-last ever Warped Tour in Orlando, FL, Simple Plan brought another bunch of guys to perform I’m Just A Kid with the on stage, as a special surprise to the crowd that came to see them. This time around, Simple Plan welcomed on stage their old friends Janick Thibault from Story Untold, Cody Carson from Set It Off and the third personality to jump on the stage was Viner and YouTuber Elton Castee, who was later seen completely fangirling about this special opportunity on Twitter.

Check out a short clip of Janick, Cody and Elton singing I’m Just A Kid on stage with Simple Plan, while Pierre took over the drums and Chuck went crowdsurfing last night in Orlando:

Set It Off: “We got Simple Plan obsessed with escape rooms!”

If there’s another two-word phrase besides ‘No Pads’ that has been used as many, if not more times than that one on Simple Plan members’ Instagram profiles in the past few months, then it’s definitely ‘escape rooms’.

While on the Taking One For The Team tour, Simple Plan usually spent their days off playing laser tag in different cities all across the world, on the No Pads tour, the band decided to ditch laser tag for the already mentioned escape rooms, which are much more intellectually challenging. But how did this obsession even start? Set If Off’s lead singer Cody Carson may have the answer.

Cody recently did an interview with Lizzie’s Lowdown and in it he discussed his band’s recent tour with Simple Plan in the U.S. and how he got SP hooked on escaping:

Interviewer: What was it like touring with Simple Plan. What are they like?

Cody: Oh they are really nice. When we are home we like to play this game called Munchkin. It is this real strategy-based board game. We will do stuff like that instead of going out to a bar. We found out that they are not different to that. We had a day off and we found this place where you can drink and play games. It had arcade games, laser tag and bowling and that is what we did. We drank beer and played 14 games of laser tag. I’ve got them obsessed with escape rooms, so on the next leg we are going to do a bunch of escape rooms.

Set It Off will be joining Simple Plan on their upcoming second leg of the No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls tour in the United States. Check out all the tourdates here.

Opening bands Set It Off and Seaway say goodbye to Simple Plan

For the past month, Simpl Plan were accompanied on their NPNHJB tour in the U.S. by two stunning acts, Set It Off and Seaway, who’s task was to properly warm up the crowd before each SP set.

The tour’s final destination brought these three bands to San Diego, CA, where these bands were forced to say their goodbyes and head back home. For Set It Off, it won’t be long before they reunite with Simple Plan again, as they will be opening for them on the second part of the U.S. tour in the summer. But that definitely didn’t stop this band to share their sadness over the end of the tour with their newly aquired friends.

Cody Carson, the lead singer of Set It Off, for instance thanked SP on Twitter:

Maxx Danziger, Set It Off’s drummer, also expressed his sadness. Check out his tweet below:

Simple Plan and Set It Off got along very well throughout the whole tour. Just a week ago for example, Cody, Chady, Danny, Cowboy, Pierre and Seb went out together to play some laser tag. Check out a photo of them below:

And we cannot forget Seaway, a fellow Canadian band, who were the first to play at each date of this No Pads tour. Seaway also tweeted out thanks to both of the bands, and from a picture of Seaway and Set It off together [check it out here], we can tell some of the band members also picked up some of the Role Model t-shirts that were available at Simple Plan’s merch table.

Set It Off: “Simple Plan were a pivotal band for us joining the genre!”

For almost a month now, Simple Plan have been on their No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls tour in the United States accompanied by two opening acts: Seaway from Canada and Set It Off from the U.S. Dan Clermont, the guitarist for Set It Off recently spoke to Troy L. Smith of Cleveland.com, and in the interview he mentioned how excited the band was to get the chance to tour with Simple Plan.

Check out his direct quote below:

“Simple Plan were a pivotal band for us joining the genre. Our 14 year-old selves are freaking out while sharing the stage with [them]. It’s like a dream come true for us.”
