Props from the filming of Singing In The Rain video up for auction on Ebay

Our colleagues over at SPB made a curious discovery: a very interesting bunch of objects recently appeared on Ebay, which may be a great addition to any Simple Plan collection – that is, if you’re willing to pay for it!

An unknown member of the crew involved in the making of the music video for ‘Singing In The Rain’ (filmed in April 2016) got ahold of two pieces of props from the filming: two pieces of fake vinyl records for ‘Singing In The Rain’ made exclusively for the purposes of this video, which have also been used multiple times in the actual music video [e.g. check out mark 1:46 in the music video], as is now offering them in an auction on Ebay.

The bidding for the records started at $100 and as of writing this article, there have not been any bids made to purchase these two items. If you’re interested in purchasing this piece of Simple Plan memorabilia, check out the auction site here.

New photos from the making of Singing In The Rain

To commemorate one year since Simple Plan filmed the music video for Singing In The Rain in Toronto, one of the fans sent us some of her behind the scenes photos from this videoshoot.

As you may recall, for this music video, Simple Plan asked their fans to show up dressed up in 60s fashion and take part in the battle of the bands scenes, as well as the final concert towards the end of the video.

Pierre sang Singing in The Rain under an umbrella in Shanghai

Last night Simple Plan played the first of two shows in Shanghai, China (the second show is coming up tonight) and this time around it was not SP who’d surprise the fans, but the other way round.

One of the fans managed to bring an umbrella into the venue, which eventually ended up on the stage, where Pierre picked it up and sang Singing In The Rain under it. Have a look at some of the first photos from last night’s show in Shanghai in the gallery:

Interview with Simple Plan on FUSE

FUSE has released the interview they’ve done with the members of Simple Plan last week, when Pierre, David, Seb and Jeff were in New York doing more promo [+ have a look into the gallery for a new picture from SP’s visit to the FUSE studios]. ‘Singing In The Rain’ ranks at #25 on Hot AC charts!

The positive effect of the main message behind ‘Singing In The Rain’ is undeniable – and especially welcome in current times – and the charts seem to agree too! Simple Plan’s latest single ‘Singing In The Rain’ has finally reached position no. 25 on the Hot AC chart on U.S. radios, according to the Mediabase database! This is a 2-position move up since last week, when the single ranked at #27.

The song has been steadily rising since TOP 50 in May and is currently getting over 900 spins on U.S. radios per week! Let’s keep it up – make sure to let your local radio stations know you want them to play SITR a lot more and have Simple Plan get to TOP 20 next!
