As you already know, a couple weeks ago, when the band did another promotional run in Europe, Simple Plan performed at the French TV show Taratata, which finally aired yesterday. Despite the earlier assumptions that Simple Plan would film their appearance at the French TV show Taratata today, the members of the band were there yesterday and thanks to fans who attended the taping we already have some interesting info about the show, which will air on French TV in February.
At the show, Simple Plan revealed two sneak peeks of new songs from their upcoming album “Taking One For The Team” (coming out February 19th) – for the song “Everything Sucks” (which we have already heard the demo of a while back) and or the first time ever also “Singing In The Rain”! However it is safe to assume that the attendees definitely wouldn’t be allowed to film the sneak peeks, so we’ll have to wait for them a little bit longer.
Regarding their performance, Simple Plan played their first single “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed” and also performed a cover of the song “Can’t Feel My Face” by The Weeknd. This may be our first clue to the songs the boys may insert into their party medley on their nex tour.
It seems that Simple Plan’s trip to France next week won’t only be about the private showcase in Paris at Warner Music France. It has just been announced that the band would be parttaking in the taping of the show Taratata either on Wednesday next week (January 13th).
The last time Simple Plan appeared on Taratata was in 2011, where they performed Astronaut for the first time on television. Hopefully the boys will surprise us with a performance there this time around as well.
Yesterday, Simple Plan’s first TV performace of their latest single “Astronaut” aired in France on a show called “Taratata”, which the guys pre-recorded in September, during their short European tour. The programme’s website has already released the full footage of Simple Plan’s performance, as well as of the subsequent interview with Pierre and Chuck (in French, of course).
