Simple Plan featured in a brand new music video for ‘Reasons’ by The Bottom Line!

If you’ve been following news about Simple Plan for the past 2 years, there is a very little chance that you have never heard of The Bottom Line. This four-piece British pop-punk band initially started their connection with Simple Plan on their European tour in early 2016, where they grew so close with Simple Plan that they took them on their next two European tours and even their U.S. and Canadian tour the following year. And what’s more – the band’s lead singer, Callum Amies, even got the job as Simple Plan’s guitar tech for a brief while in 2017 [check out SimplePLan.cz’s interview with Cal here].

Over the past two years, Simple Plan could have been seen talking very highly of The Bottom Line, seeing them as very talented musicians and live performers and trying to promote them and help them out in any way they could. Most recently, Simple Plan became of the artists, who agreed to take part in The Bottom Line’s brane new video for their song ‘Reasons’, which they released today.

Most of the music video was filmed at this year’s Download Festival, which is how The Bottom Line got bands like Neck Deep or Mayday Parade to be a part of it too, but since SP could not make it to Download this year, they sent their TBL friends a clip filmed on Warped Tour. In the clip, that’s been integrated into the music video, we can see Pierre, Sebastien and Chuck lip-syncing to the new song by The Bottom Line.

So without any further ado, check out how many times you can spot Simple Plan in The Bottom Line’s ‘Reasons’:

It has already become a tradition that after every major tour, Simple Plan take a picture with all their opening bands and their crew to create an everlasting memory of the good times they’ve had on the tour. And of course, this year’s Canadian tour has been no exception.

Since Quebec City was The Bottom Line’s final show on the tour, Simple Plan decided to take the picture there and not on their actual final stop of the tour in Ottawa, so below you can now check out the pic from the beautiful Le Capitole venue featuring Simple Plan, The Bottom Line, Courage My Love, Selfish Things and also all their crew. Here it is:

Pierre drums with The Bottom Line on their final show in Canada – in Quebec City

Last night in Quebec City, the guys from Simple Plan had to say goodbye to their friends from The Bottom Line as their run on the tour was over and they had to head back to the UK for other shows. That is also why the fans in Quebec City got to experience a couple of sweet interactions of these two bands while on stage that night.

During the Simple Plan show, The Bottom Line brought back their “on-stage pranks” that they used to do on Simple Plan during their party medley’s in Europe (coming on stage while being dressed in something ridiculous) – and invaded their stage in Quebec City too to the point that Jeff actually fell down on his back, when one of the members of TBL brushed past him.

At first however, it was a member of Simple Plan who got on stage during The Bottom Line’s set – when the band invited Pierre to play drums with them on their song ‘Insecure’. Check out a video of this moment SP.cz captured in Quebec:

The Bottom Line plead with fans to help with regards to Simple Plan Texas show cancelations

Earlier this week, the British band The Bottom Line, packed their bags and headed to the airport to join Simple Plan in the U.S. on another one of their tours – alongside Patent Pending and Set It Off. The band was supposed to first appear as the opening act in Houston, TX, however due to the worsened weather conditions and hurricane Harvey making landfall in Texas right about that time, both the show in Houston and Austin, TX have been canceled (with rescheduled dates to be announced soon).

Of course, this came as very bad news for this small British band (who have been making rounds without a label for years now), who’ve already put a lot of finances into their first tour in the U.S., and who’d sustenance on this Simple Plan tour very much relies on income from sales made at their concerts.

Due to these unforeseen cancelations, and with three additional days off they didn’t count on, The Bottom Line are now struggling financially and to make the ends meet they decided to make the previously limited-to-the-U.S.-shows merch available everywhere online – and plead with their fans to purchase it, so TBL can finance the rest of the tour. Read the lead singer of TBL – Callum Amies’ words below:

“Hey guys. Had a weird 48 hours over here in America and as a result of the hurricane we have had to postpone 2 shows on tour. Leaving us with 3 days off with no income trying to drive to Arizona. We hate asking for money but this is an extremely unusual circumstance, we put some brand new shirts up for sale and if anyone is kind enough to grab one it would be really helping us out!”

– Callum Amies (The Bottom Line) –

Since The Bottom Line have made quite an impression on the past 3 Simple Plan tours they’ve been a part of in the past 2 years in Europe, if you can, we urge you to help this band out and allow them to keep continue on this current tour, which they are yet to first perform at. You can purchase their merch by clicking on the image link below (take notice that the items won’t be shipped until after the end of the tour – at the end of September):

The Bottom Line to join Simple Plan on tour in the U.S. and Canada!

Even if you haven’t been to any of the European shows in the past year and half, if you’ve been following the news about Simple Plan, I’m pretty sure you’ve already heard of The Bottom Line. The four-piece British band from around London first opened for Simple Plan last year in Europe and after the first European TOFTT leg, they were the only opening band to be asked to join SP on the second leg as well, as the band members have developed close friendships and figured they just work very well on tour together [read SP.cz’s interview with TBL’s lead singer here]. It didn’t take long and on the next European tour, which took place this summer, Simple Plan once again had The Bottom Line open for them on selected dates and their lead singer Callum Amies even got the job as Simple Plan’s guitar technician for the course of the whole European tour.

So at this point, it wouldn’t really be a Simple Plan tour without The Bottom Line. And I assume that’s exactly what Simple Plan thought as well, cause to help their friends out and to expose them to new – North American – audiences, they decided to give them another go and have them open for them once again – this time on the NPNHJB tour in the U.S. and also Canada!

Due to their show in Prague, where they are opening for The Offspring, The Bottom Line will not be present at the first 5 shows of the U.S. tour and will officially join the Simple Plan tour in Houston, TX. In the U.S., The Bottom Line will be joining two other opening acts for Simple Plan: Set It Off and Patent Pending. In Canada, they will be another opening act alongside Courage My Love and Selfish Things.
