Simple Plan’s first headlining show’s setlist in Europe revealed

Tonight Simple Plan performed one of the two headlining shows on this short June European tour – in Zurich, Switzerland. The show was circa 90 minutes long, meaning that its setlist might give us a clue about what the setlist for the longer festival slots on this European run might look like! We’ve already shown you the short festival setlist from France – in Italy, the band added What’s New Scooby Doo. In Switzerland however, the fans got to rock out for 21 songs in total.

And thanks to our dearest fans (Yva & Charlotte), we managed to get a closer look at the full setlist! According to them, the band also added The Lucky One on the spot, contrary to the written down setlist.

Simple Plan confirmed purpose of Europe trip: promo

Before boarding his plane to London, UK, where three of his band-mates already are, Chuck took to Twitter to finally officially confirm and explain where the guys are headed in Europe and why. As correctly guessed, Simple Plan will be doing some promo for their upcoming album, which means lots of interviews and maybe even short acoustic performances here and there in various European cities.

According to Chuck’s tweet the band will first be stopping in London for one day and then head over to Milan and Zurich, also for promo. I will keep you informed as more specific details about their stay unfold.

Simple Plan in Switzerland and Groezrock festival in Belgium

After a week of touring France, this weekend, Simple Plan have returned to Switzerland, where they played in Zurich, and then on Sunday to Belgium, where they were one of the headlining acts at the Groezrock festival.

You can now check out some pictures of the band’s performance from this weekend in the gallery (I would like to thank Sandra for some of them):

As the Belgic Groezrock festival defines itself as a “punk-rock and hardcore” festival (just look at its line-up), Simple Plan were naturally a bit afraid to play some of their more “pop-ish” songs. That’s why (and also because they only had a 1 hour set), you can see many changes to their setlist – for example you won’t find the “party medley” on it, and neither the final Perfect.
