In only one day, Simple Plan will be back on stage in Quebec – this time around in the smaller city of La Tuque, located about 200 km north from Montreal. So naturally the organizers of the Jeudis Centre-Ville<\/b> festival are currently finishing up with all the preparations for this free event, which is expected to attract over 10 000 people. And considering that just the population of La Tuque is 11 000 people, the festival will be causing some changes around the city.<\/p>\n
Due to the temporary closing of a number of streets in the center of the city, parking spots will be fairly limited for the duration of the festival. Some paid parking spots will be available for $10 at various locations, usually at private properties – the city officials however mostly recommend to the festival attendeed to leave their cars at home for Thursday night. There will be a free shuttle service provides on three routes around the city. <\/p>\n
The Mayor of La Tuque, Normand Beaudoin also stated<\/a> that the city has taken all the precautionary measures to ensure the overall safety<\/b> of the festival:<\/p>\n \n The opening act of the night, Nelson Voyer et son Band, will begin his performance at 6:30pm. Simple Plan will then take over the stage from 9pm to 10:30pm, promising a full 1.5 hour-long show.<\/b> <\/p>\n We should hopefully have a confirmation on whether David is or isn’t attending this show quite soon. <\/p>\n“The city has taken all necessary security measures for the event.
