David Desrosiers participates in the “Chaîne de forces” campaign

In 2013 a very interesting project started in the area of Matane, a city located in the provice of Quebec, Canada, called “Chaîne de forces” (“A Chain of Strength”) in which a parchment of words encouraging strength and positivity in life is being handed from one person to another, while each of them is adding more of his own advice and words of encouragement.

In this year’s edition of “Chaîne de forces”, David Desrosiers from Simple Plan, who is originally from Matane, was chosen to start the chain off with a video message, in which he symbolically handed over the parchment to the first recipient – Dennis Angers – a teacher at Polyvalente De Matane, David’s former high school.

You can see the video of David’s message by clicking on the image below, and if you’re not fluent in French, there is also an English translation of David’s message here under the video (thanks to Sab):

“Hello, I’m David!

I’m honored to start the “Forces en nous” (Strengths in us) chain. We all have strengths, we all have weaknesses as well. But it’s important to focus on the positive, on the strengths that everyone has, our good qualities.

I’d like to pass the first parchment to Dennis Angers because I think his force is the way he is able to captivate people, how he can make people listening to him and not thinking at anything else when he is telling a story. I think that it is an amazing strength. So, Dennis, I pass you the first parchment and it’s a big honor to start this chain.”
