In less than a week, all the members of Simple Plan will be back in Montreal, Canada because they have lots of Simple Plan Foundation related things coming up that weekend! Before the big benefit event for the Foundation which will take place at the Corona Theatre on Sunday, Simple Plan will also attend the 10th edition of a friendly hockey game between the employees of CN (Canadian National Railway Company) and the Montreal Canadiens Alumni, which will take place on November 22nd. The raised funds from this event will be designated to charitable organizations committed to supporting and protecting children, including the Simple Plan Foundation.
Not only will Simple Plan perform at the event acoustically, at 1pm, Pierre Bouvier and Chuck Comeau have also been invited to take part in the game itself, so we may perhaps look forward to another brotherly fight between these two – such as the one pictured on the right, which took place at the hockey game/performance in December 2008.
If you’re in Montreal, Canada next Saturday, make sure to get the tickets for this game and Simple Plan performance, which are available here for $20 (children under 12 have a free entry). The event will take place at the Saint-Michel Arena in Saint-Michel Villeray, Montreal (3440 Jarry Street East). The doors open at noon and the game starts at 2:30 p.m.
