Simple Plan Foundation’s official website recently published a brand new article, which summed up the SPF benefit event that took place in Montreal, Canada on November 23rd.
After recaping the whole event and stating how big of a success it has been, it also mentioned that Simple Plan gave their fans a little sneak peak of the upcoming album by performing the song “Boom” for the first time, which will be featured on their new record, which, according to this post is to be “launched at the end of springtime.”
This information confirms all the hints we’ve had so far from the band regarding the release date of their new record (spring/summer) but this is surely the most specific one yet, as end of spring indicated either May or June. However, please be aware that since Simple Plan are still writing songs for the record and they will enter the studio in January, there is still a possibility that the release date may be postponed for various reasons that may occur during all that time. Official release date has not been set yet.
All information known about this album so far can be found here.
