There are many anniversaries to come up in 2015 regarding Simple Plan, but today’s anniversary is surely one of the most important ones. Exactly 15 years ago today, on January 22nd 2000 in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Canada, Simple Plan played their very first show together [in their formation of four, before David joined the band] as Simple Plan, which was a name the foursome had to come up with quickly before the show and was supposed to be only temporary.
The show wasn’t a headlining show, of course. Simple Plan performed as an opening band for “Bald Vulture,” who coincidentally previously opened for Reset.
The first official Simple Plan show including David took place almost a year after that, on February 3rd 2001.
