Simple Plan are currently in the midst of finishing up the last few things on their 5th studio album. According to Jeff’s latest post on Instagram, the album is “almost done” – as you can see from the new image of the progress board below. Since their little break for two shows in Canada, the guys finished all the vocals on the album, along with some guitars and drums and also did some more programming.
One more new thing is clear now, even though we thought at first the guys were recording only 13 songs, from the latest picture of the progress board we can see that the guys are working on 15 songs in total! However, that doesn’t mean all will end up on the album, as Simple Plan usually tend to include 11 to 12 songs with maybe 1 or two bonus songs. The rest of the recorded songs may not be used at all or could be used some other way [such as stored for the next album, like it happened with Never Should’ve Let You Go].
