On Tuesday, November 10th, Ottawa’s Canadian Tire Centre hosted this year’s edition of We Day Ottawa. We Day is an inspirational event organized by Free The Children, where thousands of young people, who earn their way in by taking action on various issues that help the community, gather to listen to inspiring speeches by world-renowned speakers and to see performers that also stand for helping to change the world. We Day traditionally takes place in various cities in Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.
We Day Ottawa welcomed a number of inspiring speakers including the first public appearance of the Canada’s newly elected prime minister since his election – Justin Trudeau, YouTuber Lilly Singh (IISuperwomanII) or social activist Spencer West. The event was also filled with musical performances of artists such as Kardinal Offishall and our very own Simple Plan.
The members of Simple Plan took the stage as the final highlight of the event, performing their new song “Boom”. You can watch their performance here:
