Here’s some good news for the festival lovers from Europe! Our reader Linda, who recently attended Simple Plan’s Australian tour and got to talk to the band a little bit, let us know about a couple of interesting information regarding the band’s current plans for 2017 when it comes to Europe.
According to the band members, as of right now the band is certain they will be returning to Europe for the summer music festivals, which usually take place between June and July. Also, it seems that no second European headlining tour is being planned yet, so it’s very possible that the band will return mainly for the summer festivals.
However, if you’re a bigger fan of Simple Plan’s more intimate shows than large festivals, the plans for next year are still currently being worked on and there is always a possibility that the band might put in a headlining date here and there, just like they’ve done many times before. For example – the last time they ended their tour cycle in Europe (for the GYHO tour in 2013), the band played four festivals in Germany and Russia and also managed to fit in one headlining show in Vienna.
Are you excited for Simple Plan to come back to Europe? Which one would you prefer to attend – a headlining show or a festival?
