Over 10 000 visitors expected to attend Simple Plan show in La Tuque

The announcement of Simple Plan on the line-up of the Jeudis Centre-Ville festival on August 10th in La Tuque, QC, Canada has created an enormous response on social media and according to the organizers of the event, over 10 000 visitors are expected to take part in this festival, which is free of charge. It is fair to point out that the city of La Tuque has just a little over 11 000 inhabiants, which of course means that there have to be some preliminary measures made by the city to help accomodate all the visitors of the event.

According to the press release, the organizers are planning to build a second mobile stage that will be set up specifically to meet the needs of the show of Simple Plan. There will also be 2 giant screens on either side of the main stage. This will prevent huge crowds of people standing in one spot and instead allowing the crowd to disperse – people who don’t want to be in the crowd can comfortably watch the spectacle on the screens, while others can enjoy jumping up and down in the crowd.

To city also works on a development of a special transit system for the occasion, in order to maximize the parking spaces available in the city and to transport spectators on the site in a safe manner. Citizens will be invited to leave their vehicles at home and take advantage of the public transport instead.
