RECAP: Chuck’s live webchat with fans

To celebrate him finally reaching 40 000 followers on Twitter, Chuck has decided to set up another webchat today at 3pm EST. Thanks to Ustream, hundreds of fans from all around the world were able to see him and chat with him live at the same time. The webchat lasted almost an hour and Chuck managed to reveals lots of very interesting information. 8/4/2011 – Webchat with Chuck – RECAP:

– photoshoot, that the guys made a couple days ago is supposed to be “funny and awesome”

– before the end of April we should get our hands on some more Simple Plan music

– apart from Rivers Cuomo and Alex Gaskarth, the album will be including some MORE collaborations

– Jeff and Chuck (who usually don’t get much singing space on the records) are singing on the so-called “gang vocals” on the album, which are the parts of songs, where the whole bands is singing

– the song Astronaut is very special, not very funny, more serious and epic and the guys took extra care of the lyrics when writing them – accoridng to Chuck: “every line matters”

– the Astronaut music video should be including some sort of a “memory” or a “reference” on Patrick

– Patrick should be appearing in the upcoming third music video, that is set to be shot next week in Canada under the director Frank Borin

– the album should also be including some heavy / punk-rock / “warped tour” songs

– there will be some changes regarding Simple Plan concerts: the guys want to change the setlists more often and also play more songs that they hadn’t played much before from the first and the second albume

– Chuck’s favourite Simple Plan songs are: Crazy, No Love, One Day, Crash And Burn and Holding On

– Chuck confirmed that there is one song on the album that will have its English version and also a French version

– Chuck also mentioned the “brawls” between SP and the band Sum 41 – he has confirmed that after a reunion in Bologna, Italy, the bands are “cool now”.

– the band wants to pay more attention also to the “eastern-european countries” on their upcoming tours, meaning Slovakia, Czech Republic and other countries.
