Simple Plan surprises with a Juno Awards performance with hula girls

Every year, you can always bet to find huge names both on the red carpet and also among the performers at the Canadian Juno Awards. At this year’s show, hosted by Star Trek’s William Shatner, the stage welcomed local Canadian acts like Nickelback, Hedley and Simple Plan.

It was Simple Plan who performed last to wrap the whole evening up and had quite a few surprises for the viewers of the show. Not only they have been joined by the rapper K’Naan, who sings on the original version of the song, but to make the place look a bit more like a “Summer Paradise”, they also had a group of hula girls doing their thing on a side stage. As you can see from one of the backstage pictures, Pierre couldn’t resist and had to try on their costume after their performance as well.

A part of Simple Plan’s Juno performance can be watched in the video here:

And make sure to keep coming back to the gallery throughtout the day for more pictures from the red carpet, where the guys also revealed why David’s not present in the Summer Paradise music video as much as he should have (and that’s because of way too hard partying with Sean Paul), and also photos from their performance with K’Naan during the Juno Awards ceremony:
