The news SP.cz first brought you back in April has finally been made official – that is that Simple Plan will be once again joined by a choral group during one of their upcoming performances. This particular one will take place on August 12th in Estevan, Canada.
The choir, comprised of members of the Estevan A Cappella Singers will be performing with Simple Plan for one of their songs – most likely “This Song Saved My Life”.
According to the press release, the group will be consisted of only 12 singers (aged 16 to 25) – who got to be in the final 12 by competing in a karaoke competition hosted by the choir (that features 50 singers in total).
“Singing on stage with Simple Plan is a dream come true for so many of our kids,” said Evanne Wilhelm, the choir director.
Also at this concert, Simple Plan will have another Canadian band opening for them – Faber Drive, who have been supported by Simple Plan ever since their first common tour back in 2008. And what has Chuck recently said about this band?
“We’ve toured with them before. Pierre and I even wrote some songs with them for their new album, so we’re definitely tight with them. They’re super nice guys, they work really hard and they’re super cool.”
