If you’re not a native English speaker, you have probably at least once in your school years come across an English textbook that would feature a song that your English teacher would force the whole class to sing. And of course it didn’t used to happen very often that the songs would be something the students would particularly enjoy, but it seems like times have changed.
Paula & Laura sent me a picture of an English textbook called “Smart Moves – 2 text” (released in 2007) that 8th graders in high schools in Finland use for their English studies and that features the lyrics to one of Simple Plan’s most iconic songs – “Welcome To My Life”!
The page even includes translations of some of the most grammatically interesting phrases used in the song.
Well, don’t you just sometimes wish textbooks like that were available when you started learning English? :)
