Yesterday in the late afternoon, Simple Plan landed in the capital city of Brazil – in Brasilia, where they will be playing their very first show today.
Unfortunately, the airport security wouldn’t let the boys go through the doors to meet their fans at the airport, so Pierre tweeted that he invites all the fans to go and meet the band at their hotel (Melia 21). As a result of this very endearing message, “Proud of Pierre Bouvier” started trending first just in Brazil and later even worldwide on Twitter.
The fans really showed up at the band’s hotel and Pierre, Sebastien, Jeff and David were there to sign and take pictures with everyone (it is believed that Chuck was missing because of his non-stop works on the SP book, which is currently in the final stages of its production). According to Jéssica and Natalia Miranda Seb and Pierre were the first to show up and after the fans started calling out David’s name, he waved at them from his window and threw them a chocolate bar. When he came downstairs with Jeff, he was very curious about who got the chocolate in the fight for “a piece of David” in the end.
