After almost non-stop touring in 2011 and 2012, the guys from Simple Plan are finally enjoying some well-deserved time off. While Jeff is at home in Canada, taking care of his business, relaxing and spending time with his family, Chuck and Pierre are spending their time in the US – with Chuck admiring the Grand Canyon in Arizona – but mostly spending time on the West coast with their friends and families. So is David, who decided to take a trip on his motorbike and recently tweeted a picture of him also somewhere near the Pacific Ocean. Sebastien on the other hand took the opportunity of having a couple weeks off to visit some exotic places in Asia with Cambodia being one of them.
And while the guys are getting their strength back up, David F. Mewa is still working on their upcoming music video for This Song Saved My Life – discussing it with Chuck as he continues editing it. And apparently, the new cut of the video gave David goose bumps. If everything goes as planned, we should be able to see the video for This Song Saved My Life somewhere between January and February.
Also, according to Tom Cheney from Idobi radio, after Seb’s back from his vacation, they should be discussing the return of Sebastien’s and Patrick’s radio show Man Of The Hour.
But else is next for Simple Plan? In mid-March the boys should be attending the Canadian Music Week where they will be awarded with the Allan Slaight Humanitarian Spirit Award for their charity work and at the end of that month they will be heading for their (so far) first scheduled live shows of 2013 – at the PunkSpring festival in Japan. But be sure that there will be more stuff till then!
