European festival interviews with Simple Plan

When on tour in Europe in the past few weeks, the members of Simple Plan gave a number of interviews to local media channels. Now, you’ve already seen the SimplePlan.cz interview, but let’s have a look at some of the other interviews that have already been released on YouTube and which you may have missed.

On Saturday, June 10th, Simple Plan attended the Download festival in the UK, where The Pit got ahold of Chuck and Seb for a short interview, in which the two members of the band discussed why their band has a way to connect with a crowd even at heavier festivals like Download and how the pop-punk genre can still be relevant today:

As you can guess from the setting of it, the second interview comes from Prague – from the Aerodrome Festival – where Jeff Stinco got interviewed by the Evropa 2 radio station. Check it out below:

Simple Plan say goodbye to Europe with a lengthy post & tease return for European NPNHJB tour part 2

After three weeks in Europe, Simple Plan are taking off this morning and heading back home to Canada and the U.S. for some well-deserved time off before a couple of festival appearances in Canada.

To say goodbye, the band published a lengthy post thanking all their fans for attending the past few European shows and also mentioning how much they missed having their friend David on this tour, but at the same time how grateful they are that he’s at home trying to get better.

Read the full post below:

“Yesterday was our last show on the European NPNHJB tour and we are now all heading home, a little tired but with huge smiles on our faces. We had a fantastic 3 weeks of shows all over the old continent and it was such a pleasure to play for all our amazing fans here. We loved visiting all these beautiful countries, playing crazy-packed, sold out headlining shows and some of the world’s biggest and best music festivals. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Thank you to everyone who came to see us and supports this band, to everyone who traveled from far away to attend a show, to all the bands we played with and to all the crew personnel for making it all happen. We are extremely grateful for your passion and devotion. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

We missed our brother David Desrosiers on this tour, but knowing he’s home getting better is more important than anything and we appreciate all the good wishes and support you sent to him.

We can’t wait to return to Europe and come play more shows for you. And we look forward to many more tours this year: in the next 6 months, we will be bringing the NPNHJB tour to Canada, the US, Japan and more to be announced soon. Thanks for all the support and see you at the shows! 🙁💔⛈”

– Pierre, Chuck, Sebastien and Jeff –

But there’s no need to feel sad – Simple Plan will be back in Europe sooner than we thought! Jeff already confirmed in one of his latest Instagram posts that the band is already working on adding some more dates in those European countries, which have not been given the “No Pads treatment” yet! Announcements should be coming soon! Read Jeff’s mysterious message below:

“I heard certain rumors about more shows being added in countries where we haven’t been to yet with the No Pads tour… keep your ears to the ground.”
