After their tour in Europe in May and June, Simple Plan will return to Canada, where they already have a number of shows – mostly festival appearances – planned for the summer.
The first show Simple Plan will perform at will be the Stars and Thunder festival in Timmins, ON. And it was this show in particular, which Chuck Comeau spoke about during the recent interview for 99.3 Kiss radio station, which was released today.
Check out the audio from this interview that Chuck gave while on tour in the U.S. and see more information about the Stars and Thunder show below:
For a few months now, the Italian fans have been over the moon after the announcement of Simple Plan returning to their country with not one but two No Pads shows: in Milan and Padova.
The promoters of the shows, Indipendente Concerti, revealed two brand new video shoutouts from the members of Simple Plan, in which they invite their local fans to the show in Padova, which will take place on June 14th and also to the show in Milan, which will take place two days later, June 16th. Along with their song ‘This Song Saved My Life’, the members of Simple Plan sent their words of encouragement to the part-takers of the ‘Not In My School, Not In My Rez’ anti-bullying campaign, which seeks to pair Indigenous and non-Indigenous schools across Canada.
As a part of this anti-bullying campaign, seven students and three representatives of the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation School (Saskatchewan) recently visited the Symmes-D’Arcy McGee High School (Gatineau, Quebec). The students of these schools worked together in order to try to establish a common action plan for their schools and communities. The plan for the future is for the Gatineau-based charity, I Love First Peoples, to coordinate these effort on a national scale.

Simple Plan took some time yesterday to acknowledge Earth Day with a post on Instagram, in which the band posted a photo of the five of them in a field somewhere in Scandinavia last year with a the following message:
“We’ve been so lucky to have the chance to travel all over this spectacular planet and take in all the beauty it has to offer. Let’s make sure we all do our part to protect it for many generations to come.”

The SP record collection for the most hard-core fans would surely be incomplete without the limited edition of the 2004 live EP called ‘Live In Anaheim’, which features live versions of eight songs performed by the band in Anaheim, CA on February 21st 2004.
And here comes the real treat: the SimplePlanLive YouTube channel has just uploaded a very rare video that aired on FUSE, which documents on video everything that we’ve only known from the whole original Live In Anaheim EP through audio – even including the 3 songs which are not featured on the live EP: When I’m With You, Crash And Burn and I’m Just A Kid.
The setlist of the show was as follows:
1. You Don’t Mean Anything
2. The Worst Day Ever
3. When I’m With You
4. God Must Hate Me
5. Crash And Burn
6. Grow Up
7. Addicted
8. One Day
9. I’m Just A Kid
10. One Day
11. I’d Do Anything
With NPNHJB celebrating its 15th anniversary this year and with the band touring with this very album right now, I’m sure the following video will give you all sorts of nostalgia, whether you’ve seen the No Pads tour already, or you’re still about to. As you will be able to see, not much has changed in Simple Plan’s live delivery of their No Pads songs – they are still as energetic and exciting live as they were 13 years ago.
Now make yourself comfortable for the next 33 minutes of Simple Plan throwback awesomeness and enjoy the show:
