For the second day in a row, Simple Plan performed yet another three shows at Disney World in Florida yesterday. Come have a look in the gallery for some fresh new pics from these shows:

The long-awaited anniversary is finally here! 15 years ago on this day, Simple Plan released their debut album ‘No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls’, which started their whole career with a number of hit singles such as ‘I’m Just A Kid’, ‘I’d Do Anything’, ‘Addicted’ or ‘Perfect’.
All these songs still resonate with many people to this day and that’s why it’s no surprise that the tickets to the band’s 15th anniversary tour, which they continue with in Ft Lauderdale today, are in such demand!
The NPNHJB tour started in the USA and will continue in Europe in May and June. Later, Simple Plan plan on expanding the tour to other countries as well, so keep your eyes on the announcements, which should be coming soon! Have a look at all the upcoming Simple Plan tourdates here.
In the meantime, make sure you’ve checked out the SimplePlan.cz recap of the first NPNHJB show, which took place last week in New York City. And while you’re at it, make sure to turn up your speakers and listen to the 15-year-old No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls again:
There were some other funny characters to be found at the World Disney World resort in Orlando, Florida yesterday besides Mickey Mouse and his friends. Simple Plan started their two-day residence there yesterday with first three shows as a part of the Garden Rocks festival, which attracted hundreds of people.
During their three 30-minute sets, which took place at 5pm, 6:30pm and 8pm, Simple Plan introduced three different setlists, two of which you now have the chance to see for yourself on the following two videos, which capture the first and the third set of the day. Interestingly – the band started all these sets with their old intro “siren” music, which you may remember from MTV: Hard Rock Live (coincidentally, also filmed in Orlando, Florida).
Pierre even reminisced about the time his band played Disney World for the first time – in 2002 – which is where he first met his now-wife Lachelle (see the second video at mark 10:45 for the full story), who was there along with their two children. Besides Lachelle and Pierre’s children, the rest of the guys also took their wives and kids to see Disney World and for the kids to see their Dads play in the process as well. Check out the first and third full set Simple Plan played including their setlist below:
5:30pm setlist:
1. Shut Up!
2. I’d Do Anything
3. Jet Lag
4. Welcome To My Life
5. I’m Just A Kid
6. Perfect
8:00pm setlist:
1. Shut Up!
2. The Worst Day Ever
3. Addicted
4. Boom!
5. I’m Just A Kid
6. Perfect
And even though we do not currently have the second show in its entirety, we know that Simple Plan incorporated ‘What’s New Scooby-Doo’ into this particular setlist. Check out a video of them playing this old-school track below:
Simple Plan will be performing three sets at Walt Disney World again today, so until then, check out the atmosphere at the first day at Disney on the fantastic pictures in the gallery:
The members of Simple Plan took their time before their show in Montreal, Canada this Wednesday, to greet 12 talented teenagers from the Oxy-Jeunes organization. During the meeting of Simple Plan, the teenagers were also awarded with 8 ukuleles and an electric guitar signed by Simple Plan.
For over 30 years, Oxy-Jeunes has helped many teenagers (aged 12-17) in Montreal to find cultural expression through art (signing, playing instruments, painting etc.) as a means of preventing dropping out of high school, risky behavior and social isolation. Read more about the organization here.
Check out some pictures of Pierre, David and Jeff meeting the teenagers in our gallery:
