Patent Pending to open for Simple Plan this week in New York City

The No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls tour officially kicks off a week before Simple Plan’s first album’s 15th anniversary with an added show in New York City, which will take place at the Playstation Theatre on Times Square tomorrow, March 10th.

And besides Set It Off, who are accompanying Simple Plan on the whole U.S. leg of the NPNHJB tour, Simple Plan will be joined for this night only also by the New York-based pop-punk band Patent Pending.

Now, you may say – I think I’ve heard that name in Simple Plan news before! And you are right! Patent Pending filmed a video back in 2011, in which they created a song dedicated to Simple Plan, asking them to take them on tour (“or for even a show or two”). And lo and behold, 6 years later Patent Pending’s dream is finally coming true!

As Simple Plan are going back on tour, the guys recently posted a post on Instagram reminding everyone about their NPNHJB tour and also their TOFTT tour in Canada, which all both starting this week. Simple Plan show in Matane selling out recordly fast

For the third time this week, we have another festival that Simple Plan will appear on this summer, announcing that their sales are off the charts!

This time around it’s the Festival Éole en musique, which takes place in Matane, QC, Canada on August 12th. This will be the first time ever that Simple Plan are heading to the hometown of their bassplayer David Desrosiers, which may be one of the reasons why the tickets are selling out so fast.

In fact, the front-of-stage sector is already sold-out and half of the general admission tickets are gone too – all that just two weeks after the tickets went on sale.

The president of the Éole en musique festival, Sébastien Tremblay, commented on this extraordinary interest of the public to this year’s edition of the festival: “This is the first time in eight years that we have sold tickets this quickly. The announcement of Simple Plan coming to Matane caused a snowball effect on social media. This band is very popular in Quebec these days!“

Rock Am Ring / Rock Im Park on the verge of selling out!

It’s just two weeks since Simple Plan were announced as one of the additional acts to perform at the Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festivals in Germany (June 2nd to June 4th) and already the festival is announcing that the festivals are very close to being sold out!

According to Metalogy.de, over 140 000 fans have already managed to score their tickets to both of the festivals, which means that there is only 10 000 tickets available for each – Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park. Therefore if you’re planning on attending these festivals, make sure to get your tickets while you can!
