Today, the members of Simple Plan attended the first bunch of promo stuff tied to the release of the animated movie Snowtime, which they came to support in China. After giving a number of interviews and taking some pictures at Coco Park in Shenzhen, China, the band also finally performed the song ‘The Heroes’, which they recorded for the soundtrack of this movie. Besides the song the band also peformed a couple more songs, such as Shut Up or Welcome To My Life.

Exclusive photos of Simple Plan at the airport in China

As you know already, Simple Plan arrived to China earlier today to begin their short promotional trip there to support the release of the movie Snowtime, for which they recorded the song ‘The Heroes’. And before anyone asks, let’s to clear something up: you may notice that David is not on any of the pictures from China. Seems that David didn’t accompany the rest of the band on this trip either, however Jeff has responded to fans’ inquiries about David’s whereabouts and to quote him: “David is well and ready to tour. He’ll be there for the shows, don’t worry.” So truly – no need to worry, David will be back on the proper tour, which begins next week!

But back to the rest of the band. Our reader Cuchu from China was at the airport today to document the band’s arrival, so as promised, here’s the first little exclusive update from SP’s promo trip to China. Make sure to visit the gallery to check out some of the pictures Cuchu sent us:

Simple Plan arrive to China & meet with reps of Snowtime

After a 16 hour flight, the members of Simple Plan have finally landed in China earlier today, where they are to perform at two early screenings of the animated Canadian movie Snowtime! Today, the SP guys got to meet both the Quebecois and the local Chinese teams, who made it possible for the film to open in Chinese cinemas.

ET Canada visits Simple Plan’s rehearsals

During the past few days, which the members of Simple Plan spent in their rehearsal space in Montreal, the band had a couple of visitors from the media to document their practice and also interview them about their upcoming NPNHJB anniversary tour.

Natasha Gargiulo from ET Canada was there too and not only she interviewed the band about their fun memories of past music videos and other stuff from the No Pads times, but she also got some exclusive drum lessons from Chuck himself. You can check out a photo of her with the band in the gallery and also watch the full clip below:

Besides this video, ET Canada also released one in which all the members of Simple Plan unite in the answer to the question “Who’s the biggest go-getter in the band?”. Try guessing who it is… it’s rather simple – but here’s the answer.

Simple Plan’s sold-out show in Detroit moved to a bigger venue – more tickets released

After it was announced that Simple Plan’s show in Detroit, MI on April 3rd was sold-out, the band immediately tried looking for alternative ways how to make sure that more fans from the Detroit area could attend their show without having to book another concert, which would already be impossible due to the band’s busy schedule on the upcoming U.S. No Pads tour.

And they found a solution! The band decided to move the show from St Andrew’s Hall (which holds up to 1000 people) to an almost three times as big venue – The Fillmore Detroit (with the capacity of 2888 people), which means almost 2000 more tickets for the show are now available for purchase. Presale is already up on Ticketmaster. Check out the details below:
