Jeff shares another video from his guitar practice session

Yesterday afternoon, Jeff Stinco picked up his guitar once again, to practice “La Catedral” by the Paraguayan composer Agustín Barrios. He decided to film his practice session and share it with his fans via Instagram.

Check out Jeff performing a piece that’s not quite what we’re used to hearing from his, on the following video:

Simple Plan show in New York City officially sold-out!

There is no denying that Simple Plan’s upcoming first leg of the No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls 15th anniversary tour, which will take place in the U.S. in March and April is selling extremely well and the fans are thrilled to hear the band’s oldest material live on stage.

The easiest way for us to determine a success of a tour even before it begins is to simply look at the numbers. Within the first 24 hours of the tickets going on sale, the show in Chicago (2500 people capacity) was immediately sold-out. Same thing happened a couple days later with the show in San Francisco (1150 people capacity). For both of these shows, the guys had the next day off anyway, which is why they could afford to secure that day for a second show in each of these cities. A few days ago, the concert in Philadelphia (800 people capacity) was also announced to be sold-out – this time around however, the band could not add a second show, but they decided to move the show to a bigger venue instead (2500 people capacity) and released some more tickets.

And we’re not finished yet! The tour is still almost two months away and Simple Plan just announced that another o their U.S. shows is sold-out – the PlayStation Theatre in New York City (2200 people capacity)! There is currently no information whether the band would be moving to a bigger venue, but it’s certain they won’t be adding a second show in NYC, as their tour schedule doesn’t allow it.

In the meantime, tickets are still available for the rest of the tour, so get them while you still can – see all he tourdates here! We expect more cities to be sold-out very soon as well.

Chuck with Wayne Gretzky at the NHL All-Star Game

As an avid ice-hockey fan, Chuck Comeau from Simple Plan could not miss out on the NHL All-Star Game which took place yesterday in Los Angeles. Apart from hanging out with the sports reporters for the Canadian station TVA and his good friend, hockey player José Théodore, Chuck also got to meet the one and only Wayne Grezky backstage.

Check out the picture they took together (and more pics of Chuck from the NHL All-Star game) in the gallery:

Jeff shares a video from his home studio

Recently, Jeff revealed on his Instagram, that he is currently working on some special music project in his own home studio and last night, he decided to publish a video of him practicing some new techniques on his guitar.

Check out what Jeff had to say about his practice below:

I just got my home studio running again and it sounds great! Today, I got some alone time so I practiced some technical ideas I never got around to work on. I recorded a country-rock beat, tracked a bass line with David Desrosiers’ awesome bass, pulled out my killer new Fender stratocaster and went for it. I mostly tried not to make smelly guitar faces. Let me know if you’d like to hear more of my playing.
