New photo from the making of ‘I’m Just A Kid’ feat. Eliza Dushku and DJ Qualls

Simple Plan recently released a brand new image from the filming of the ‘I’m Just A Kid’ music video, which took place almost exactly 15 years ago.

‘I’m Just A Kid’ was Simple Plan’s debut music video, which has since its release become one of the most famous music videos in pop-punk history. The video features both main stars of the movie ‘The New Guy’, for who’s soundtrack this song was used – Eliza Dushku (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Tru Calling) and DJ Qualls (Supernatural, LOST) [read more about these and other actors in SP’s music videos in this section].

Check out this new image that includes all the members of the band with Eliza Dushku and DJ Qualls:

Simple Plan show in Philadelphia sold-out: band moves to a bigger venue and releases more tickets

It seems that the initial estimates of the number of people who would like to attend the No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls anniversary tour in the U.S., were pretty far off. After a few shows sold-out (San Francisco and Chicago), the band already had to add a number of additional dates (in these two cities plus a new date in San Diego), there is another show in the United States, which got sold-out – and that is the show in Philadelphia, PA.

However, this time around Simple Plan won’t be adding a second show, but instead they decided to move the whole concert in Philly to a much bigger venue. From the Theatre of Living Arts, which has the capacity of only 800 people, Simple Plan will perform on March 28th in The Fillmore, which holds up to 2 500 people.

With this move, the band also released more additional tickets for the show, so if you’re in the area, make sure to get your hands on the tickets quickly!

Simple Plan: ‘We can’t wait to see our Czech fans!’

The Czech Simple Plan fans were treated with a very nice surprise this morning when the Aerodrome Festival, which takes place in Prague every year, announced 4 more acts to the already announced American band, Linkin Park. Besides LP, the attendees will get to see Enter Shikari, Royal Republic, Machine Gun Kelly and.. Simple Plan [read more about it here]!

The band also released a little note about their upcoming appearance at the Czech festival, in which they expressed their excitement about coming back to see their local fans.

Read it below:

Praha!! Very excited to announce that we will be performing for you at the Aerodrome Festival on June 11th along with Linkin Park, Machine Gun Kelly, Enter Shikari and Royal Republic! 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

We can’t wait to see all our Czech fans in Prague! And for everyone asking, there’s more European tour dates coming soon! #teamsptour

*We apologize for the confusion and inaccurate information posted earlier on our FB page and Twitter. The show is on June 11th 😬

Back in Prague: Simple Plan to perform at Aerodrome Festival with Linkin Park and more!

Yes, it’s true!

Last year’s March Simple Plan show has left many positive impressions in the mind of the band and they immediately started working on another visit to the Czech Republic. Finally, all deals were sealed a few days ago, which is why we will welcome Simple Plan to Prague again this year – this time not at a headlining show, but at the open-air Aerodrome Festival, which will take place on June 11th 2017! Apart from Simple Plan, the Aerodrome Festival’s line-up also includes Enter Shikari, Royal Republic and Machine Gun Kelly and the headliners: Linkin Park. Plus – the promoters are teasing that within a month they will be adding one additionalname to the line-up!

Two types of tickets are available for this event – “front of stage” (zone 1) and “general admission” (zone 2). Zone 1 takes up about one third of the whole capacity of the festival. That is exactly 7 000 tickets out of the whole capacity: 25 000 tickets.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that Linkin Park were announced so early on (last November), the whole “front of stage” sector has been sold out, leaving only regular “standing” (general admission) tickets on sale. After today’s line-up announcement, the price of these GA tickets went up to 1990 CZK per ticket. The tickets are available at TicketPortal.

All info about the festival can be found in its own section now on SimplePlan.cz – Prague 2017.

What is Aerodrome Festival?

Aerodrome Festival is a one-day-long Czech festival, that has been organized by NuCoast Productions in Prague since 2013. The previous editions of this festival brought the following acts to Prague:

2016: Korn, Bring Me The Horizon, Billy Talent, Bad Religion, Zebrahead
2014: June – Avenged Sevenfold, Limp Bizkit, Rob Zombie, Powerman 5000, Hentai Corporation & July: Metallica, Alice In Chains, Children Of Bodom, Kvelertak
2013: System Of A Down, NOFX, Flogging Molly, Killswitch Engage

The NuCoast Productions agency previously also organized the Prague Sounds Good festival in August 2016 (SUM 41, NOFX, Millencolin, Pennywise, Leftöver Crack, Donaha)

Note: due to the fact that it is a festival, we don’t expect Simple Plan’s setlist to be the setlist of their No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls anniversary tour. Instead, the setlist should include a mix of SP’s greatest hits, and should be shorter than regular headlining shows.

More information about the bands’ schedule throughout the day, accommodation capacities or the checkroom, will be revealed in the upcoming months. As always, don’t forget to follow SimplePlan.cz for all the latest info.

I can hardly imagine a better celebration of SimplePlan.cz’s 10th anniversary this year than with another SP show in Prague!

Meet you there, at Aerodrome!

Jeff teases his new secret side-project

If there’s one thing you should know about Jeff, it’s that he’s always on the look-out for some new ways to broaden his life – whether it’s by spending time with his family, running his restaurant business or playing the guitar. And according to his new Instagram post, there is some new music-related, yet not Simple Plan related project that Jeff has devoted the last few days to.

While Jeff doesn’t exactly reveal his new side-project, he did write a bunch of things about it. Check it out below and let us know what you think Jeff might be working on:

“I’ve got a bunch of new stuff cooking in my studio. It’s not for Simple Plan, it’s very guitar driven and it’s for fun more than anything else. It took me four days to get everything running (I guess I’m a slow learner), to fix what was broken (studio gear is fragile!), to do all the updates I had to do (damn you apple for all those compatibility issues!) and finally hear some good sounds coming out of my speakers.

Maya and I tested the setup by recording a story she had written; we added sound effects, music and funny voices (I’ll ask her if she wishes to share, it’s hilarious). As my buddy Chuck would say: it’s coming soon ;-)” – Jeff Stinco
