New poster for the Chuck-produced ‘Resurgence’ reveals more info

A couple months ago SimplePlan.cz revealed to you that Simple Plan’s drummer Chuck Comeau alongside the Australian director Peter John have been working on a documentary film project titled ‘Resurgence’.

And while the official Facebook and Instagram pages have been quite for a while, the official website for the movie has released a brand new poster, which gives us some more hints about this interesting project.

Firstly, the poster describes ‘Resurgence’ as “a history defining film about the pop punk scene of 1999 – 2004, and its comeback to the mainstream in 2016/2017.”

Secondly, it also reveals a number of artists, which have been interviewed for the film. These artists include Simple Plan, MXPX, Tonight Alive, Finch, Kevin Lyman, John Feldmann, Neck Deep, Sugarcult, Emo Night and many more.

Are you excited to see the final outcome?

Second San Francisco show and new San Diego date added to U.S. No Pads tour!

Even though it didn’t seem like it at first after Simple Plan’s show in San Francisco sold-out in less than a week, Simple Plan managed to pull some strings and made a second San Francisco show happen just 2 days after the first sold-out one! And not only that! Seeing how big the demand for the No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls tour is in the California area, the band added a brand new show in San Diego as well!

Tickets for both these new dates go on sale this Friday, 10 am local time.

VIDEO: Seb shows off his DIY comic book Framus guitar

I think it’s safe to say that at the South American tour last year, it was Sebastien’s brand new acoustic Framusguitar which got the most attention out of all the music instruments in the band. And it wasn’t the fact that it was new, but rather that it carries a very Sebastien-like Superman theme all over the body of the guitar.

In a new video, which Seb published on his Instagram, Simple Plan’s guitar player confessed that it was actually his own little DIY project. Watch below how Seb customized this guitar into such as unique piece:

Nova Rock change: Simple Plan to perform on the last day of the festival with Green Day!

Important news for all of you who are planning to see Simple Plan at the Nova Rock festival in Austria this June, which so far features one of the greatest alternative/pop-punk music line-ups of all European summer music festivals!

Despite the earlier announcement made by Simple Plan that they would be performing at this festival on June 14th, that is on the first day, alongside Linkin Park, according to the newly released schedule by the festival organizers, Simple Plan will in fact perform on the very last day of Nova Rock – on June 17th – the same day as Green Day, Rancid (and also David Hasselhoff) (big thanks to Alexandra for the info).

With the release of this information, the festival will also start released ultra limited day tickets, starting tomorro at 10am CET (for 85 €). You’ll be able to find them here.

This is a very interesting change, which tells us that the guys are indeed still working on their European tourdates, and it’s very possible that they wanted to make room for more NPNHJB tourdates in Europe, which are expected to be tied to the timing of the already announced European festivals. This change gives Simple Plan almost a full week in between Download festival in the UK and Nova Rock in Austria. Where would you like them to go with the NPNHJB tour? (Please be aware that is more then certain that the festival appearances will not include the “NPNHJB” treatment, that is expected only of regular headlining shows).

And while we wait for more information regarding Europe to be released, check out the full programme of Nova Rock below:
