In just a little less than a month, Simple Plan will return to South America, where they have a number of shows planned and one of them is a show in Santiago, Chile on December 15th.
And since Simple Plan are not taking any band with them on this South American tour, each of the concerts will likely have a different supporting act. As far as Chile concerns, the promoters have just announced that a local pop-rock band called Madvanna was chosen to open for Simple Plan.
You can check them out on their official Facebook page.

So far it seems that the Nova Rock festival in Austria, that will take place from June 14th to June 17th, has the best line-up out of all European summer music festivals for pop-punk/alternative/rock fans. The line-up, which includes Green Day, Blink 182, Linkin Park, System Of A Down, Simple Plan, Pierce The Veil, Rancid, Of Mice And Men and more, has been announced a couple weeks ago, but the exact time schedule of what day each band will be performing has not been revealed yet.
Luckily, some of the bands have come forward with the date of their performances through Bandsintown, which makes it easier for us to break down when at least the headlining bands will be performing and match the rest of the bands to that schedule. The headliners of this festival include 4 bands – one for each day of the festival: System Of A Down, Blink 182, Green Day and Linkin Park. So far, three out of four headliners of Nova Rock, have revealed the days they will be perfoming, leaving only Blink 182 for us to “wonder about”. And since SP’s concert date on Nova Rock has also already been confirmed – June 14th – that means the festival-goers will see Simple Plan play the same day as Linkin Park and also Pierce The Veil.
Here’s the schedule known so far:
June 14th (Wed) – Linkin Park, Simple Plan, Pierce The Veil, Airbourne
June 15th (Thu) – Blink 182 (not officially confirmed for the day yet, but more than highly likely), In Flames
June 16th (Fri) – System Of A Down, Prophets Of Rage
June 17th (Sat) – Green Day
Tickets for the Nova Rock festival start at €169.90 for all 4 days of the festival (camping included). It is currently unknown whether there will be 1-day passes available eventually. You can find more information about the festival on their official website.
