‘Perfectly Perfect’ video expected to be released soon!

A month ago, Simple Plan filmed the music video for their newest single ‘Perfectly Perfect’ in Montreal, Canada under the direction of Mark Staubach.

Chady Awad, Simple Plan’s videographer, was also involved in the filming process and is currently working on editing of this music video. And it was him, who posted a brand new image from this long-awaited video, which is currently undergoing a color correction, despite being in black & white. Chady also mentioned these were the “final touches” being put on the video, which means we should be expecting its release very soon!

Venue change for SP show in Paraguay

Attention Paraguay fans!

It has just been confirmed by the promoter of the Simple Plan show in Paraguay – G5Pro – that the band will not be performing in the Yacht & Golf Club in Lambare on December 14th, as announced earlier, but instead will be switching to the Casco Antiguo venue in Asuncion.

The already sold tickets remain valid, however the promoters also announced that starting tomorrow, probably due to the venue change, the prices of the tickets will be going up – so get them cheaper while you can! Simple Plan inform about Pierre’s health getting better

Last week, news broke that Simple Plan are postponing their November tour in Canada to March after Pierre has been ordered to rest his vocals in order to not cause any permanent damage to his voice.

Of course this announcement upset many fans, who were planning to attend these shows in Canada, some of them even travelling from other continents to see the band play in their home country. However at the same time, most fans were also very understanding of this situation and wished all the best to Pierre and a speedy recovery.

Yesterday was the day Simple Plan were supposed to kick off this tour in Canada and on that day, Simple Plan chose to inform the fans on Instagram about Pierre feeling much better already, which will surely come as good news to the attendees of any upcoming Simple Plan shows, most notably the ones that will commence in South America in December.

Check out the full post Simple Plan wrote on their Instagram below:

Today should have been the first show of our Canadian tour and we’re so bummed to not be in London, Ontario tonight playing for you. As we told you a few weeks ago, we had no choice than to postpone the shows because Pierre had to go on vocal rest to avoid any long-term damage to his voice. He’s at home right now and would like everyone to know that he’s feeling better and that his doctor expects him to make a full recovery.

We want to once again apologize to everyone who was planning to attend the Canadian shows this week. This is a disappointing bump in the road for us but we will come back stronger and better. We hope to see you all at the shows in March!

Prep for Brazilian tour is underway

With the recent cancelation of the November Canadian tour, it will be the South American tour that Simple Plan will be heading off to next – in only three weeks – with the first stop in Brazil. And it’s not just the fans in Brazil, who is getting ready for these concerts already!

It has just recently been announced [thanks SPB for the info] that unlike for the rest of the Taking One For The Team tour, Simple Plan won’t be bringing a steady opening act for the whole tour, but there’ll be different opening artists performing each night. And surprisingly, the first announced opening acts are not actual bands, but rather DJs or types of parties that will try to hype the crowd before Simple Plan get on the stage at two of the shows in Brazil.

The so-called “E Eu Que Era Emo?” party will bring the hype for Simple Plan in Belo Horizonte with various DJs, who will spin tracks from popular pop-punk or emo bands, such as Fall Out Boy or My Chemical Romance. Another such party – Crush, the Party! will be opening for SP in Rio de Janeiro with the help of the DJS Sal Oliveira, Mateus Simões and Roberto Leães.

Simple Plan’s crew is also already working on getting everything nice and settled in Brazil. Even though the first show is still three weeks away, Frank Joly, Simple Plan’s sound engineer has already posted a picture of Simple Plan’s geer being sent out to Brazil. Check it out:
