PHOTO: Jeff reveals new tattoo & its meaning

For a while now, Jeff has been working on a new tattoo on his left arm to connect the two tattoos he already had on this part of his body. Yesterday, Jeff endured a 3.5 hour tattoo session, after which he’d apparently had enough and will be continuing with the coloring in in two weeks.

As to what meaning this tattoo has for him, Jeff explained that in his latest Instagram post, where he also published an image of this new tattoo:

“It ties my Japanese forearm tattoo with my old school swallow tattoo. I got the lotus on my forearm when Maya was born so Zoé insisted I got one for her too and it had to be blue (she knows what she wants that one!) The anchor represents my wish to stay grounded regardless of all the craziness in my life.”

While in California last month, the band took a group photo before the show in Santa Ana, CA and last night they decided to show it to the fans on Instagram. Check out thsi awesome new pic Chady took below:

The Bottom Line to release a music video featuring Simple Plan

You may recall The Bottom Line as the opening band for Simple Plan on both legs of their European tour earlier this year. The British foursome – Matt, Callum, Max and Tom – will be shortly releasing a new SP “I Still Hate You” very soon and ahead of that they decided to release the first single from this EP called “Pull Me Out”. The single will be dropping this Monday, November 14th and that won’t be all!

According to the band’s most recent post on social media, it seems like they will also be accompanying the new single with a music video – and not only that, it will feature some footage of Simple Plan from their tour with The Bottom Line! At least that’s what we can tell from the message and the picture they posted, which features Pierre, all members of The Bottom Line, SP’s sound engineer Frank and Danny, their EU tour manager.

Ever wondered what it’s like drinking beer and dancing to country music with Simple Plan ? Check back Monday to find out! #PullMeOut #ISHY

New photo from TOFTT pre-release-day photoshoot

With last night’s announcement about the postponing of the whole Canadian tour, which was supposed to kick off next week, many Canadian news sources are now reporting about this rescheduling.

And we could say that at least something good came out of this whole unpleasant news – and that in these articles these news sources revealed a brand new picture from a 2016 photoshoot, that was taken in Toronto, Canada on February 18th, the day before Simple Plan released their new album “Taking One For The Team”, by photographer Nathan Denette.

Simple Plan cancel Canadian tour & postpone it till next year

It’s never easy to break down bad news. If everything went according to plan, Simple Plan were supposed to kick off their Canadian tour with All Time Low next week. However, sometimes things just don’t work out and unfortunately due to Pierre’s health issues, the band has been forced to cancel their Canadian tour for now and postpone it till next year. This cancelation refers to all seven dates of the Canadian tour from November 17th to 24th (London, Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City, Halifax, Montreal and Moncton).

Read the official statement below:

We are extremely disappointed to announce that we have to reschedule our Eastern Canadian tour dates to March next year.

While singing in the studio this week, Pierre started feeling pain in his vocal cords and consulted his voice doctor. After examination, Pierre was instructed to go on immediate vocal rest. He was also advised to refrain from singing for the next 4 weeks to avoid any permanent vocal cord damage.

After a gruelling touring and traveling schedule and playing over 100 headlining shows all over the world since “Taking One For The Team” came out last February, we all decided together as a band that taking this precautionary measure was the best course of action for the long-term health of Pierre and for our career.

We absolutely hate to not be able to play these shows and have to reschedule. Our Canadian shows are always extremely special to us and it really breaks our hearts to have to make this announcement. We hope you will understand the situation and the fact that we didn’t come to this conclusion lightly or easily. We know a lot of you had been looking forward to these shows for a very long time and that some people were traveling from all over the world to attend. We want to sincerely apologize to everyone who is disappointed or if we caused you any inconvenience.

We look forward to seeing at the shows next March and we thank you all for always supporting us, even in difficult situations like this. We also want to reassure you that with the proper rest, Pierre’s voice will be back to 100% and healthy again and that we will resume playing shows starting in Brazil in early December for our South American tour.

The new dates that are now confirmed are:

March 11 – London Music Hall – London
March 13 – Centre Videotron – QC
March 14 – Air Canada Centre – Toronto
March 15 – Bell Centre – Montreal

We’re working on Ottawa and Halifax dates and will announce them soon.

Unfortunately, our friends All Time Low won’t be able to join us on the new dates, but we are already working on finding a great new support act.

Thank you for your support.

Pierre, Chuck, Seb, David and Jeff.

*** Tickets purchased for the originally scheduled show dates will be honoured. Refunds available at point of purchase until Dec 1.

All fans who were supposed to attend this show will be reimbursed for their tickets if they want to – until December 1st. Same thing applies to VIP post-game tickets. If not returned, the tickets will be still valid for the upcoming dates in March. You will be able to simply use the old ticket to come to the March shows.

Please note that Simple Plan do not take cancelations of shows/tour lightly and will be sure to make it up to all of you who were planning on attending this tour shortly.
