Jeff reveals his new sleeve tattoo design

For a long time now, Jeff has wanted to connect the two tattoos he has on his left arm (shoulder and forearm) into one large sleeve tatoo. A couple months ago, Jeff went for one of his first tattoo consultations regarding his new sleeve and received the first sketches from his tattoo artist – Pierre Chapelan from the TattooMania studio but yesterday he finally decided to reveal the design to his fans via Instagram.

Check out the image that features a koi fish, an anchor and a flower below! What do you think of Jeff’s new tattoo design?

Drummers of Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and Papa Roach unite

Since Good Charlotte was playing Los Angeles on Thursday night, it was a given that many local music-related people could not miss this event. So of course the attendees of the show had the chance to spot there people like Jack Barakat from All Time Low, Marko DeSantis from Sugarcult, Tony Palermo from Papa Roach, the head of Idobi radio Tom Cheney, Simple Plan’s Australian director Peter John and last but not least Chuck Comeau from Simple Plan. It was hard not to know about the latter when Joel from Good Charlotte announced “Simple Plan is in the house tonight!”.

This has of course given some of the musicians a chance to unite and that’s exactly what three of the attending drummers did – Chuck, Tony and Dean Butterworth from Good Charlotte got to hang out and exchange some drum talk between the three of them. Tony Palermo later posted this photo of the three drummers together with the following comment:

Drummer hang with Chuck Comeau and Dean Butterworth. Dean killed it last night with Good Charlotte. I met Chuck when he was 14 opening for Ten Foot Pole in Montreal. Proud of him for growing up behind the drums. We talked about drumming as something we could never not do. And thanks to Marko DeSantis for the ride last night.

Below you can also check out a short video filmed by Idobi’s Tom Cheney, who filmed Chuck enjoying the Good Charlotte show on Thursday:

Hey @chuckcomeau. What do you think of @goodcharlotteband?

VIDEO: Simple Plan launch Montreal’s new musical instrument library program

As SimplePlan.cz has already reported, on Monday, three members of Simple Plan along with the Mayor of Montreal Denis Coderre were present in Montreal to help launch a brand new musical instrument lending program within the participating local libraries.

A number of media channels reported about this extraordinary new program and you can now check out videos by CTV News and Montreal Gazette from this press conference, which both feature Jeff, Chuck and Sebastien from Simple Plan below:

12 years since the release of ‘Still Not Getting Any’

Believe it or not, but Simple Plan’s second studio album, “Still Not Getting Any…” came out of October 26th 2004, which means it celebrates its 12th birthday today!

This album, which consists of 11 songs, is still to this day widely considered one of Simple Plan’s most commercially successful albums. Ask any of your non-SP friends if they ever heard of ‘Welcome To My Life’ and I’m sure you’ll get a positive answer. And what about ‘Untitled’? A song that has even managed to become a meme of itself, with it’s chorus line “How could this happen to me?” often being used as a meme in various situations – YouTube’s most popular YouTuber, Pewdiepie even used this song in this sense in one of his videos a couple years ago.

To the joy of their fans, Simple Plan brought back many songs from his album back to their setlist on their current Taking One For The Team tour. Thanks to these changes, we got to hear songs such as ‘Perfect World’, ‘Crazy’, ‘Untitled’ or ‘Me Against The World’ on this tour [of course alongside other more common SNGA songs on SP’s setlists, such as ‘Shut Up’, ‘Welcome To My Life’ or ‘Jump’].

How do you feel about this another big anniversary? Do you remember the first time you heard this album? Is there a song from this album you’d say is your most favorite?
