PHOTOS: Simple Plan at Oro Valley Music Festival

On Sunday evening, the band stopped in Tuscon, Arizona, where thousands of people came to see them perform at the Oro Valley Music Festival. The boys decided to go with the most known songs to their U.S. audience on their short 45-minutes-long setlist, which included the likes of ‘I’d Do Anything’, ‘Welcome To My Life’, ‘Addicted’, ‘Shut Up’, ‘Jump’, ‘I’m Just A Kid’ and ‘Perfect’. And apparently it also started raining a bit right as ‘Perfect’, as the last song of the set, started. :)

Check out the first bunch of pictures from this last festival appearance before the Simple Plan U.S. our officially starts today in California:

Chuck and Jeff personally tattoo a fan in Arizona

It’s not at all uncommon to see the members of Simple Plan write down lyrics, signatures or images for fans, who later want to have them tattooed on their bodies [we have over 300 SP fan tattoos to prove that]. What is uncommon however, is to have the members of Simple Plan actually tattoo these things on their own fans bodies… and that’s exactly what happened yesterday.

While at the Oro Valley Music Festival in Arizona, a local tattoo artist, Rachael, who also happens to be a Simple Plan fan, asked Jeff and Chuck whether they’d be willing to tattoo her personally with their own hands. The boys were very excited to fulfill her wish and after Rachael arranged everything and last night in Simple Plan’s tourbus Jeff and Chuck had their first ever experience of putting an ink on another person.

Check out the picture of Chuck tattooing Rachel in the gallery and Jeff doing the same on the video below:

Simple Plan performed ‘Untitled’ in Kansas as an acoustic trio

Last night, Pierre, Jeff and Sebastien appeared at the Barktoberfest event in Kansas [stating David and Chuck were sick – although during acoustic sets, it’s common for Chuck not to be there]. Looks like our theory of Simple Plan focusing more on their earlier hits at their shows in the U.S. was correct – the boys brought back ‘Untitled’ to the setlist alongside other well-known songs to the U.S. audience, such as Addicted, I’m Just A Kid, I’d Do Anything, Welcome To My Life or Perfect – all acoustically.

Check out some of the first few pictures from the show here and a video from their ‘Untitled’ performance below:

Simple Plan add one more free charitable show after U.S. tour

To add to the recently announced charitable appearances of Simple Plan after the end of their U.S. tour in October, the band will also be present in Laotto, IN, USA for a free charitable event called Pretty in Pink.

This event that will take place on October 18th is for all ages with free admission with funds being raised through the raffle that includes interesting prizes such as a signed guitar by the members of Simple Plan. All the funds raised at this event will be going to the Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
