Come check out some brand new pictures of Chuck, Seb and Jeff, who gave an interview to Sanook!, a Thai music website, back when they visited Bangkok a couple days ago:

Simple Plan surprise 2nd Melbourne crowd with Addicted and more & tease return to Australia in 2017

Tonight was Simple Plan’s second gig in Melbourne – another sold-out show in the Prince Bandroom venue. And while uptil now, Simple Plan’s setlist haven’t been changing much – usually with just two songs, being switched every other show, tonight the band decided to go all out and introduce a few more new songs to the Australian crowd!

If you manage to stumple upon a photo of the Melbourne show setlist, you might get the idea that the band performed 19 songs as usual – but that was not the case, as the band did in fact play 20 songs in total. Whether it was a planned surprise, or a spur of the moment decision, Simple Plan decided to bring back the old-school classic ‘Addicted’ to the setlist – right after ‘Take My Hand’ (which appeared on the setlist tonight instead of ‘Your Love Is A Lie’) and right before ‘The Rest Of Us’ which finally got re-added to the setlist as well – sadly for the fans of ‘Singing In The Rain’, which was not played on Melbourne show #2. The guys also switched to ‘I Refuse’ instead of ‘Farewell’.

Check out the full setlist from Melbourne below (big thanks to Sara & Brooke for the info):

1. Opinion Overload
2. Jet Lag
3. Jump (‚I Gotta Feeling‘ snippet)
4. I’d Do Anything
5. Boom
6. Welcome to My Life
7. Kiss Me Like Nobody’s Watching
8. Take My Hand
9. Addicted
10. The Rest Of Us
11. Party medley – Uptown Funk (Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars cover) & Can’t Feel My Face (The Weeknd cover)
12. Can’t Keep My Hands Off You
13. I Refuse
14. Summer Paradise
15. Crazy
16. I’m Just a Kid

Encore:
17. Shut Up!
18 Perfect World
19. This Song Saved My Life (acoustic)
20. Perfect

There is just one last Australian show left for Simple Plan – Melbourne show #3 (which has officially also sold-out today!). But all you Australians don’t have to be sad [sad, sad no more]! According to Chuck, the band is already planning its return to Australia for next year! And what’s even better is that this time around they want to do a full tour across the whole continent, which should bring hope mostly to the residents of the western part of Australia, which they skipped on this first Australian run this year.

So far, Simple Plan’s plans for 2017 include Europe and Australia. What else? We’ll have to wait and see.

Simple Plan kick off their 3-day residency in Melbourne

After one day off, Simple Plan returned to the stage last night at the Prince Bandroom venue in the St Kilda district in Melbourne, Australia, where due to a high demand from the fans and a small capacity of the venue (around 1000 people), the band had to plan three back to back shows in total with only a few tickets left for the final show – the rest is sold-out.

The first day of this three-day “Simple Plan residency” at Prince Bandroom took place yesterday and we already have some first information about this gig. The band once again played the “YLIAL” version of their setlist, as you can see from the whole list below. From this, we can assume, that tonight in Melbourne, Simple Plan will most likely play Take My Hand again:

1. Opinion Overload
2. Jet Lag
3. Jump (‚I Gotta Feeling‘ snippet)
4. I’d Do Anything
5. Boom
6. Welcome to My Life
7. Kiss Me Like Nobody’s Watching
8. Your Love Is A Lie
9. Singing In The Rain
10. Party medley – Uptown Funk (Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars cover) & Can’t Feel My Face (The Weeknd cover)
11. Can’t Keep My Hands Off You
12. Farewell
13. Summer Paradise
14. Crazy
15. I’m Just a Kid

Encore:
16. Shut Up!
17 Perfect World
18. This Song Saved My Life (acoustic)
19. Perfect

Since we haven’t had a live video here in a while, have a look at the intimacy of this show on the video below, which captures the band performing ‘Crazy’ last night:

And here’s the first couple of professionally taken pictures from the first show in Melbourne:

New old-school photoshoots from Japan (2003)

Have a look into the gallery today for some “new” photoshoots of Simple Plan from their early 20s, when they visited Japan in 2003. The first photoshoot was taken by Kentaro Kanbe and the second one by Teppei Kishida. Our boys grew up quite a bit since then, eh? :)

VIDEO: Simple Plan do yoga and beat up Pierre

Back in Singapore last week, Chuck, Pierre and Sebastien did a little interview with the local radio station ONE FM, which turned out to be anything but ordinary. Since Pierre wasn’t present for the beginning of the first video, the host decided to let Chuck and Seb release all their anger towards Pierre… And in the second video, you’ll get to check out Simple Plan’s yoga skills in positions you may have never even heard of before (such as ‘Monkey with shattered spine’).

Both videos are hilarious and definitely worth checking out:
