When in Merida, Mexico, two days ago, Pierre and Jeff were photographed after an interview session, by the photographer Andrea Gonar.

The day before last night’s Simple Plan show in Mexico City, the band arrived to the capital city of Mexico, and as it’s become pretty popular over the past few years, the band was greetedby a heard of fans at the airport. And if only it was a heard! According to the boys, as much as 500 fans showed up at the airport, forcing the airport security to advise the band to escape via private exit. However the band assured the security they can handle the fans and that they would like to see them.

While this has not been officially confirmed by the band yet, Zero producciones, a local Peruvian promoter has announced on Twitter that Simple Plan, alongside The Rasmus, Sum 41 and Papa Roach will be performing at a festival in Lima, Peru called Vivo X El Rock on December 17th. Which fits right into their already announced plans in South America in December.

After Simple Plan finish their current tour in Mexico, they will be returning to Canada to play a few festivals and also the U.S. for a few more acoustic shows. Recently it was announced that the band would be performing in Hartford, CT on August 9th and today we can officially add another acoustic set on the same date – in Orange, CT, a town near New Haven.
The acoustic set is being organized by the radio station Star 99.9 and you can win your ticket by listening in. Check out the details below:

Coliseo Yucatán, a big arena in the city of Merida, Mexico, finally got to experience Simple Plan’s Taking One For The Team tour show last night. The band had arrived to Mexico the day before and were ready to rock the first stop at their Mexican tour on July 19th.
The fans were greeted by the Montreal fivesome, who presented their 19-songs-long setlist, which looked like this:
