Pierre reveals new info about The Antidote videoshoot & album details in a new interview

Thanks to our loyal reader Mymie we learned that a Canadian web show called Le retour de 123 PUNK avec Rej Laplanche had Pierre Bouvier as a guest for an interview this week. The interview, which is in French is only available until November 12th through a private link, which you can aquire for free once you sign up for it here.

We asked Mymie to sum up for the most vital information that we would’ve learned in this interview, if we knew how to speak French. And surprisingly Pierre spilled some beans about the upcoming videoshoot for The Antidote and the new album:

  • Pierre said that the videoshoot would take place Tuesday or Wednesday (yesterday or today) in Los Angeles
  • The video is supposed to be edited as soon as possible, so that the music video comes out maximum in just a few weeks
  • He also mentioned that Simple Plan will release 3 to 4 songs before the album comes out

Quite exciting, isn’t it? What do you think the concept of the music video will be like? Let us know in the comments below or on our social media!

VIDEO: Behind the scenes of making The Antidote in the studio

With Simple Plan’s new single “The Antidote” picking up hype on playlists all around the world, the band decided to reveal a little bit more from the making of this song by releasing a video footage from the behind the scenes of recording this song in the studio in California back in the summer of 2019.

Check it out in full below:

Pierre promises new Simple Plan album (out in early 2022) to be very rock, compares it to SNGA

The British magazine RockSound published a new video call interview with Pierre Bouvier from Simple Plan. In the interview, the reporter James Wilson-Taylor talked to Pierre about his band’s recent unexpected success with their past hits such as “What’s New Scooby-Doo?” and “I’m Just A Kid”, as well as Simple Plan’s new single and the upcoming 6th studio album.

When it came to the album (which, by the way, should be coming out in early 2022), Pierre noted that the core fans will be in love with this album, as it is “heavy and rock” and even compared it to one of the band’s most popular releases, the 2004 album “Still Not Getting Any”. Check out what Pierre said below:

“I would say The Antidote is a good indication [about the style of the record]. Obviously, there’s a few songs that are a little different. But mostly I would say this album is very… it’s more rock. It reminds me of like Still Not Getting Any, 2004-ish Simple Plan. I love the sound. […] Really heavy, rock… We have about 2 songs that are more on the pop kind of cross-over side, but everything else is just straight up pop-punk, so I think the fans who are, you know, big fans of Simple Plan will absolutely be stoked to hear this.
